Would be incredible. He must be on a fair whack though even if we did stump up the 10mil.

Victor Wanyama has teased he could return to Celtic one day as he looks set to leave Spurs this summer.

The former Hoops star is in talks with Belgian side Bruges over a reported £11million deal.

But before he seals his move, he was on the phone to congratulate his former team-mate and new Celtic signing Fraser Forster.

Forster, who has reunited with Neil Lennon, on a season-long loan deal from Southampton revealed Wanyama was on the phone to him after the keeper choose to wear his old no.67 shirt.

Forster said: "I picked it, yeah. Victor was straight onto me after the game.

"He's on at me saying ‘keep my shirt warm for a bit!’

Meanwhile Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has taken a parting shot at the out-of-favour midfielder.

He said: "It's all about performance. Football is for today and tomorrow, not yesterday.

"You always need to show that you are there and deserve (to be there).

"In the case of Victor, he suffered an injury and another player stepped up and took his place. We are in a team, we are not a charity.

Victor is a very important player and, for different circumstances, went backwards.

“That is the evolution of football and things like that happen naturally at all clubs."

Would be an absolute dream signing, but i feel like it's the sort we'd need CL football for.

Was just about to post that, he probably would have picked us over Brugge if it's CL football that's delaying him going there.

Thing is, you were doing at as a joke; but I literally take a few seconds to process sentences like that.

Since getting pelters the last time, I've found the trick is to imagine it as spoken English and then the meaning is usually very clear. A lot of people write on here quite close to how they speak, but the rules for spoken and written English are usually a bit different. Sometimes that throws me.

Have you noticed how when people start arguing, in most cases their posts start to follow written English standards? Quite interesting. I wonder if the way I write on here comes across as a bit aggressive for that reason.

Nor really should we TBH. I'm with Lawwell on that TBH.
I do think we should be spending much more on investments, though.

Having said that, we're 2 seasons away from an incredible 10iar, so let's make an exception just this once please, Celtic.*

*I'm not even kidding. I think a certain amount of "short-termism" is justified this season.

VICTOR WANYAMA has been offered a bumper five-year, £65,000-a-week deal from Brugge as he closes in on a £13.5 million move from Spurs.

Celtic were linked with a move for their ex-player, in the week they brought back his former team mate Fraser Forster on loan from Southampton

But the ambitious Belgian club are willing to smash their transfer budget and wage structure and make the Kenyan international their highest-paid player in their history.

Wanyama is reportedly delaying his move until he finds out whether Brugge make it into the Champions League Group Stages, with the second leg with LASK Linz this week.

However, Belgian TV pundit and former Anderlecht manager Johan Boskamp reckons Brugge are taking a massive risk.

He pointed out: “He has a great career and was an important player for Spurs.

But then he got a serious knee injury. I’d want to check his knee was fine.

“For a Belgian club to be paying that amount of money for a player with his age and his injury record, it’s a risk.

“But if he is fully fit, then he is obviously a great signing.”
