Needs replacing now, not at the end of the season.

    Aye, 100%.

That's not to say he's done in any shape or form, but ffs anycunt with half a brain knows he's gradually coming to the end of his career.

Do the business now and ease the new * in and ease Broony off so he can play till *i.e.* the season of the "10".

When a player is over 30 whenever he has a bad game its because 'he is done', if a player under 30 has a bad game it just because he's having a bad game. Its all a bit silly and predictable, Brown would need to have a series of poor games before anyone could justifiably say he's finished. Up until last night hes been his usual reliable self, he will not be dropped.

    Love the guy.

    * off at him for last night

    But love him

But the time is coming to take a back seat!

If and it’s a huge if we can keep Oli I would like to see us go with Oliver, Callum and Ryan as the midfield 3

Scott Brown is far from being done.

Yes we could rest him in games and try the other system with CM ...but he's far from being finished.

This guy would be playing for us in his 40's if it was up to some folk on here. He's lost a yard of pace, surely everybody can see that ?

He's played his best stuff at RB so far this season. Would he add a bit of power and height to the middle of the park to win the battle v Sevco? Maybe? We also paid 7 million for a CD. I'd like to think we're okay with him and Joso.

As for the people saying he's a poor footballer etc, absutely clueless or EVERY Celtic and Scotland manager has been clueless for selecting him! He's been a class act for us over the years. I just doubt he's still got the legs to boss games now.

He played 1 quality game at right back out of necessity less than a week ago.

We need him at centre half and we need the game at the midden to be a football match and not a battle. We know for a fact we win the football match, at our best. It turns into a battle and you can toss a coin.

The 7 million centre half may very well work with Jozo but with 2 weeks to the game and the 7 million centre half not getting a sniff it’s not very likely.

I'm looking at both matches last season at Ibrokes Paul. If we go into that with Mikey Johnston, N'tcham etc and try to out-play them, I fear the worst. If we try hit them on the break however and stifle them, I think we can win. Could be a game to play both Ajer and Brown in midfield with McGregor! Christie, Forrest and Edward hitting them on the break!

As much as I love him, he should be a squad player now. Against your Hamilton’s, st Johnstone etc he strolls it but any team with a bit of pace and that press us, he is a bit off the pace. Teams sitting deep is ideal for him, but when we have to play box to box he doesn’t really have the legs anymore and that leaves a big gap in front of the defence.

He hasnt just had 1 bad game. The first Cluj leg also passed him by. Both matches were noticeably too fast paced for him.

There's no shame in that. An end to end counter attacking style just doesn't suit him at 34.

We played some of our best football last season in the Europa when it was Christie, Mcgregor and Rogic in midfield. It was electric.

Still have no idea what the * he was thinking with that handball.. Has to be the most frustrating think I've ever seen in a game. Just taken the lead, Bain * it for a corner then that... Unbelievable even after watching it again still can't understand it

He’s had a series of poor games. People are justified in criticising him when he’s a major factor in costing us Champions League football. As Mr.Slippyfist said, he’s not done, but he isn’t reliable enough to be a first choice pick every game.

Love him or not the fact is European games pass him by like he's not there and have done for the last few years. In Europe Brown is a weak link. We need energy in the midfield, not somebody chasing shadows, someone like CalMac (obviously when he's not being wasted at LB)

I think broony was badly let down by lennon in the game , nctam doesnt give brown the same energy and cover that mcgregor does beside him , putting mcgregor at lb not only hinders mcgregor but gives brown much more work to do in that sitting role

Broony should be able to perform regardless of his midfield partner though, and his midfield partner didn't cause him to give away a penalty.

Just sounds like you're making excuses for Brown playing poorly, and trying to shift blame to the less popular Ntcham even though he performed far better.

Im not denying beown had a bad game , i am stating callum mcgregor is better at dm than what ntcham is, he puts himself about more and helps brown out defensively more than nctam , with brown struggling in the game lennon should have realised that and even brought bitton on to play beside him
