Should be like Lambert was at the end, mainly a sub and used sparingly, he does not offer much even int he SPL now, he can't keep up with the play, but as a captain his role is still vital at the club, and he does not have to play every game to exert that influence.

I don’t dispute that mate. It was the original comment I was replying too.
    He has done it previously.

He's not past it, he just probably needs more rest.

We don't have any ball winners, none whatsoever bar him.

I think a few home games here and there.

He was hardly the sole reason we went out.

Love Scott brown but 34 is not a young man. What he is doing with that handball I'll never know but even there first goal. He should have vene tighter on his man making the cross. Brown of 5 years ago wouldn't have allowed the cross to happen.

Brown didn't have a great game last night (by his own admission) but I don't put it down to lack of effort. He is just naturally aging. It isn't his fault it happens. Time waits for no man.

I remember saying the same about lustig at the beginning of last season and got hammered by a few. For me, hartem looks a much better than lustig right now. Obviously lustig in his prime was a fantastic player but towards the end he was found wanting a bit.

Brown is/was a fantastic player but the decline will only start weighing heavier in the future am afraid

Weve been relying on him too much for a couple years now. To still have to turn to him to set the tempo is embarrassing to be honest. Weve become to reliant on him over the last few years and now that he is out of his peak years he is going to feel the brunt of some of the criticism.

Last night is fair enough as he was utterly woeful. And to be honest his biggest error wasnt even anything to do with his legs or fitness...it was a completely brain fart. I mean even if he was 50 years old and playing at CM you dont make that mistake ffs!!

So perplexed at what was going through his head. Mental.

Huge fan of Scott Brown from day one but I suspected his time was coming to an end last season. We need a holding, ball winner in as soon as possible. Difficult player to replace in the team. Certainly one of the first signings I'd be making. Still think he can do a job against the smaller teams domestically but he's no longer going to dominate v Sevco etc

The failure to sign John Mcginn looks worse as time goes on.
The partnership of him and McGregor doesn't work for me.
    We need a Wanyama type.
Brown looks * and McGregor is too lightweight and not defensive enough.

I'm worried the Huns will bully us again.

John mcginn was perfect, celtic man, energy, great engine, the club has well and truly * it.
If the huns get their act together we will lose the 10 i have no doubt about that.

The huns * the 10 sticking with the likes of McCoist and Gough into their mid 30s when they were past it, hope it isn't going to be similar with Lennon insisting on Brown over and over and over. Already played him in every * game this season.

Also I don't believe his finger slipped for that tweet :56:

That tweet stuff needs to get booted in to touch. If I was Lennon I would not be playing Brown anytime soon. That was no slip up. Very poor from a so called captain.

I've been there, and it does take its toll mentally when your legs won't do what they used to and you find yourself struggling against what used to be inferior opponents. It's very difficult to take, and can start to make you do silly things. It would almost be better if the legs just fell off a cliff and one day you simply couldn't do it. Would be easier to take I think

It was a clear accident, you can throw plenty at him but being a sneaky back stabber is at the bottom of the list. If he were unhappy about certain things then he'd go and tell Lennon to his face. Don't think there's any argument about that.

Paul - either way it doesn't look good especially straight after a defeat like that. Mistake or no mistake why was Brown anywhere near social media after that terrible performance
