    Betting odds for first leg

    Cluj 17/10

Good luck guys, the chances are 60-40 in your favour but it will be two matches with great battles and lot of energy loss. May the best to win and see the both teams in group stages this year :)

We'll just have to put Cluj under pressure and see how they handle it.
See if we can whistle a few shots in and hit the back of the net again away from home.
We should really be done qualifying after a third round. If we can get through
in the most efficient way possible i'll be delighted.

They are a little weak at right back and centre back. Pace changes this game and we've just got to go and enjoy the game

    Should be a good one.

Playing the away leg first will be a real test of where we are at. We have to be brave and good on the ball in this one. If we just go there to try and defend we will be in big trouble I feel. We need to look to keep the ball and control the game with the ball. For sure the first 20 minutes or so will be crucial.

They dont look like a side who are happy to be in control of a game anyway IMO from what I've seen.

A look at recent games going back to last season suggests they dont score a terrific amount regularly.

Will definitely be a hard slog but if we cant beat them dont deserve to be there etc that old line.

I see these clowns have started their * talk already. Didn’t take very long but it’s always par for the course with these Eastern European teams.

    ——————/////////—————

Cluj legend Ionut Rada has taken a swipe at Celtic and Scottish football ahead of his former side's Champions League third qualifying round fixture against Neil Lennon'steam.

Celtic's 7-0 aggregate win over Estonian side Nõmme Kalju means they will meet Romanian champions CFR Cluj, who knocked out Maccabi Tel Aviv in the second.

Defender Rada, who now plays for Romanian third-tier side Sănătatea, dismissed the Parkhead side's chances and also criticised the standard of Scottish football.

Speaking in the Scottish Sun, Rada said: "Everyone seems to be scared of Celtic, but why? They are a team who use their aggression. That's their only weapon.

"If Cluj want to mix it up and fight with Celtic, they will lose. But they won't. Dan Petrescu is too smart for that.

"Celtic remain a big name, but the Scottish League is weak and have no important teams in it anymore.

"These days Celtic are not very good. Yes, they get past a couple if stages in Europe, but that's it.

"Cluj have a team now that is full of experience. They know what to expect and how to play at this level.

"I am certain Cluj will qualify.

"Cluj's success is largely down to Dan Petrescu. He has the complete respect of everyone in the dressing room and everyone in Romanian football.

"He will already be planning on how to stop Celtic and I think the Scots will be in for a surprise."

One thing to note is they have lost their first choice CB pairing from last year, Kevin boli and Cristian manea have both left.
