Even just the other back-up players on the pitch. Shved and Morgan were better

It's a shame as I think over the piece he has been superb for us, but it does like like the natural end is coming.

It's frightening how many people would have him over Mikey..

Couldn't kick his * when he came on. Getting tackled or going to take on a man and stumbling for it to go out for goal kicks..

Literally only decent thing was his shot on target..

Shved came on much later and had a big impact on the other side..

Are people still touting that? It’s absolutely Mikey’s position to lose just now.

    Yep.

The main argument is "we can't afford to lose Sinclair's goals". Well, for a start, Mikey's goal return has been pretty decent the last 6 months. And even more importantly, he'll create far more chances for the team than Sinclair will because he takes it past players for fun.

It's night and day for me.

Mikey 1st choice left winger, arzani for backup.

I would punt sinclair, i know he got goals last season but i cant see the same this year.

He skins defender's for breakfast. They literally cannot handle him..

His running off the ball is superb as well..

Will give us far more than Sinclair possibly could this season..

Will score plenty this season and even his presence opens up space for other's..

It's Sinclair experience/age that makes him a pick.

Clearly he gets the goals and assists over the course of the season. We all know what we get with him now, as does the opposition.

But with Mikey, arzani, shved, they are all vastly inexperienced compared to him. And when it comes to the big games, Sinclair does show up more often and is a less risky option.

It's a massive ask to go in to a season with three inexperienced wingers and Forrest as the only experience

Alternatively, we get rid of him and bring in someone else, then they want to play more and it could stifle play time of others.

    Exactly this.

Johnstone is still an unknown quantity. I must say that I was never too impressed when I seen him until the tail end of last season. I hope he is going to be a pler for us but it is too early to suggest that he is going to be our outright winger across a full season.

Sinclair offers us a lot. The over the top criticism for our 4th highest goalscorer in the 8IAR era is pretty bizarre even if he does have some faults.

And who the * cares about the wage bill? That is Peter Lawwell concern and absolutely no one else’s.

We would never ever replace like for like in terms of wages, nor do we need to free up wages given the amount of cash at the bank.

Absolutely ridiculous comments. I’d rather we kept our 4th top scorer in the 8IAR era than save a few pounds on the wage bill which is really of no concern of any fan in our financial position.

He used to. But that's dwindling. His stats last season don't really point towards him showing up regularly in the big games - and let's be honest, during the last 18 months, when he isn't scoring he isn't really doing much else.

4 goals, 0 assists against Aberdeen (including a hattrick) which is obviously good. However, 0 goals or assists against the huns, Killie or Hibs. 1 assist against Hearts. Most of his league goals and assists last season were in 3/4/5-0 wins against the likes of Dundee, Hamilton, St Mirren, Motherwell etc.

His best output was 5 goals in 5 games in the Scottish Cup - 2 against Airdrie and 3 against St Johnstone.

It's almost impossible to tell how Mikey will turn up in the big games, because he's not really had a proper chance in them.

NEIL LENNON says Celtic DON’T want to lose Scott Sinclair.

The Hoops hero – who hasn’t started a game this season – is attracting interest from English Premier League new boys Sheffield United and Championship outfit Preston

He came off the bench in tonight’s Champions League qualifying win over Nomme Kalju.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound, Lennon said: “It’s just a little difficult period for Scott, but it’s still so early.

A player of that experience is always handy to have around, he’s got a great goal record and he’s had a great time at Celtic.

“We don’t want him to go, that’s for sure.”

We’d be nuts to sell him, particularly for the money being touted.

Won’t find me writing him off.
