    STRAHINJA PAVLOVIC says Celtic face serious competition from Juventus for his signature.

    Hoops boss Neil Lennon spied on the Partizan Belgrade wonderkid, who made it onto the shortlist for the prestigious Golden Boy award this year for Under 21 players.

    Lennon went to see him stroll through Partizan’s 1-0 win in Rhyl against Kilmarnock’s Europa League conquerors Connah’s Quay Nomads.

    But Pavlovic, 18, who was also strongly linked with a £4 million move to Italian champions Juve this summer, is only concentrating on Partizan.

    He said: “I must admit when I first heard about the interest of Juventus I thought it was a dream, but I’ve been told their interest is serious.

    “The club’s management knows what is going on. They will handle any transfer negotiations and I know there have been talks.


    So I am completely relaxed and I’m not thinking about any move for now. I just want to concentrate on playing for Partizan.

    “People elsewhere will take care of this.


    “I only made my debut last season and have only played 15 games. I have a great deal to learn and I am dedicated to doing that at Partizan until something happens.


    It’s nice when the manager and president of the club say I am their most valuable player and I have read about the millions I am supposed to be worth.

    “But it’s up to me to prove this.

    “And even if I went to Juventus, it’s very unrealistic to think I would go straight into a team like that. So for now I concentrate on Partizan.”

    Neil Lennon was in Wales last night to watch Partizan Belgrade's highly-rated Serbian youth international Strahinja Pavlovic.

    The Celtic manager cast an eye over the 18-year-old centre-back, as Partizan secured a 1-0 victory over Connah's Quay Nomads at the Belle Vue in Rhyl in their Europa League qualifier.

    Measuring 6ft 4in Pavlovic worked his way up through the ranks at Partizan, making his professional debut in February.

    Previously linked with Juventus, the teenager was untested by Kilmarnock's Europa League conquerors.
