    I'd be more concerned with PAOK and Red Star than any of the rest should we get there. The rest would give us more than a fair chance to get there but even these 2 would hardly be doing cartwheels about getting us. We're the seeded team here (I know I know) but its preseason for them too and we've started the competitive stuff as least as early as them. That should be an advantage. I'm realistic but we should have more of a can do attitude here.

    Get through all rounds to GS we would be in Pot 3 as long as ALL seeded teams win through from 2nd rd onwards.

    PAOK; CFR Cluj or Maccabi Tel Aviv; Maribor or AIK; Red Star Belgrade or HJK; Dundalk or Qarabag; Valletta or Ferencvaros.
    Possible Play off opponents (assuming all seeded teams get through)
    Young Boys Of Berne, Slavia Prague, BATE Borisov, APOEL.
    If all this happens then this would be our GS pots in coefficient order.

    Benfica, Dynamo Kiev, Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Salzburg, Valencia, Inter Milan, Celtic

    They won their league by a clear 31 pts and Be'er Sheva finshed 3rd 34 pts behind them.

    Would prefer to avoid Red Star and PAOK for sure. Cluj/Maccabi slightly less daunting but still would prefer to avoid them at this stage too.

    Ferencváros/Valletta
    Qarabag/Dundalk
    Maribor/AIK

    One of those 3 ties would be ideal.

    Know Red Star have done well over the last few years but at the same time they genuinely struggled to overcome Suduva in the last round. Whereas Ferencvaros beat Ludogorets home and away.

    Qarabag/Dundalk definitely the tie to hope for with Maribor/AIK a distant 2nd. PAOK the obvious team to avoid and wouldn't fancy our chances unless we got a quality RB in and the new defence all settled in quickly. Think Maccabi/Cluj, Ferencvaros and Red Star would all be pretty similar to each other, difficult ties but ones we really should be getting through.

    Then hope to * we avoid Young Boys and Slavia Prague in the playoffs.

    @Drakhan Why are you under the impression that we need the top-ranked clubs in the qualifying rounds to qualify for the group stage, to be in Pot 3?

    Only 23 of clubs outrank us, which means that we, at number 24, are certain to be in Pot 3, regardless of which clubs qualify for the competition proper.

    If a seeded club fails to qualify for the group stage, it will either have no bearing on us, or it will move us up the Pot 3 rankings.

    * lot of them, if we cant beat any of those sides home and away then we dont deserve to be in champions league, Rodgers had us beating similar teams to ourselves away from home a few times so hopefully we carry that on, we have the players to rattle any of those *, all ties have the potential to be tricky including our trip to Estonia but we should be beating all those sides in reality.

    Israel, Cyprus and Azerbaijan are above our National coefficient. Just think on that for a minute!!!

    What makes you think that's what i was doing. I was putting up the teams that are our possible opponents. If that means i mention that we are in pot 3 then thats what i will mention.
