I've got no idea why he can't do it for Argentina. :56: Prefered Higuain, despite some of the big chances he's missed.

It is interesting, well I think, cause Higuain reminds me of what Benzema offers Madrid, not the greatest technician but plays a simple game which doesn't rely so much on confidence. Not taking anything away from the world class quality, just seems weird watching Messi playing his game making good through balls but the whole forward line isn't in tandem. Still think it must weigh on his mind, Maradona would take control of the game in Buenos Aires in a way Messi can't ever hope to do, doesn't mean he's not still the greatest ever, just mental Barca paid a pittance for his growth hormones because no one is ever going to convince anyone Boca or River Plate couldn't afford the hormone treatment, I mean it wasn't even in doubt he was something very special. Really would love to know what was going through their minds cause for sure Messi would've stayed in Argentina if they believed in him

Venezuela 0-2 Argentina: Lionel Messi and Co set up Copa America semi-final against hosts Brazil thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Giovani Lo Celso.

    Yep.

Fingers crossed Argentina can get the job done.

Brazil missing their talisman but probably still slight faves, even though they struggled the other night vs Paraguay.

Could get better than 4/1 for Argentina actually.

Pretty crazy odds for a team containing Messi against a Brazil team missing Neymar.
