Turnbullinho sounds quality, better than that young Motherwell lad anyway.

    Bring him home :shamrock:

How can we be bidding for players if the window isn't open yet?

It would be a no brainer getting him in.

Getting that amount of goals and assists from midfield is some going for any midfielder in any league never mind a 19 year old playing for a poor Motherwell side in his first season in the first team.

Just don’t penny pinch and get him in Celtic!

Nothing to stop bids, deals just can’t be finalised until the window opens, on the 11th June.

2 mill up top with additions is fair in my opinion..

We should just pay it. The big money we’ve paid out over the years for dud foreigners is unreal but when it comes players in Scotland we always seem to try and get them on the cheap and we’ve lost out on some good players

Motherwell have stuck a £3million-plus price tag on the head of young player of the year David Turnbull.

Record Sport understands Celtic and Bristol City have both enquired how much it will take to land Fir Park’s prize asset. The midfielder ripped things up in claret and amber this season, scoring 16 goals and lifting the Scottish Football Writers’ Association young player of the year award.

Interest is growing in Turnbull, 19, but Well have made it clear he will only be sold if there is a
significant bid – that dwarfs the transfer record of £1.75m they received from Celtic for Phil O’Donnell in 1994.

The Steelmen are looking for a deal of at least £2.5m up front with more than £500,000 in achievable add-ons.

Chief executive Alan Burrows tweeted: “Getting some questions re David Turnbull. I try not to reply to speculation (for obvious reasons) but to reiterate ...

“We will only consider offers of significantly more than our record fee received.”

Turnbull signed a new contract last season and still has another two seasons left to run.

Premier League sides Burnley, Brighton and Southampton have also been tracking him.

New Brighton boss Graham Potter was a fan when he was at Swansea and is weighing whether or not Turnbull can step up to the English top flight.

No mate, I didn't. Thought it was just free transfers we could sign outside of transfer windows.

    I think he's be a good buy.

Excellent at getting into the box and likes a pop from distance.

So would I but it could help with future transfers since Motherwell are bringing through a lot of good talent just now. I think they will 100% want a sell on fee.

Think the days are by where we can pick these players up on the cheap. Looks like a good player, but i just wonder how much Motherwell would want to sell to Celtic, or whether they'd rather move him down south as happened with McGinn. We'll see. What i'd say is Motherwell can sell to whoever they like and it's no certainty he'll end up at Celtic.
