Having a higher ceiling is pointless when you spend 95% of your time lying on the floor.

I hate praising the rat but there's few coaches in world football that have a better record of getting the best out of guys. Despite all his best efforts and changing tact he couldn't get him to apply his undoubted ability (sticking by him during poor form, introducing competition from Christie, dropped from the side, reintroduced to compete for his place when Christie was injured)

Strachan done similar in his time. No-one would say the ceiling of 2 guys we signed from Dundee United and Hearts were higher than Jarosik signed from Chelsea, Donatti signed from AC Milan or Gravesen signed from Real Madrid. But he turned to them more often and we won leagues because of that.

One of the biggest reasons the huns * up getting 10 was their ageing squad.
Gough, Gazza, McCoist, McCall, Goram and Laudrup all declined massively in that season.

When the spine crumbles your *. Their failure to bring through youth cost them.
    We can’t make that mistake.

I think right now McGinn would be better for Celtic. N'tcham has the ability to rip this league apart....like a Yaya Toure or Patrick Viera (but in comparison to the Scottish league). What is in-excusable for Celtic fans is a bad attitude or a percieved lack of effort among the support.

This is what people didnt like about big Samaras, everyone knew he had the ability and if he had put his mind to it he would have been player of the year in Scotland every single year, but he was running riot against Barca on the Wednesday...then walking about the pitch doing nothing against St Johnstone on the Saturday.

Celtic fans dont and will not put up with lack of interest or lack of effort when a player puts on the hoops. Simple.

Whats annoying is though, you can see him being one of those players that when he does leave - within a season he would be * hot at whoever he signed with and then end up with an even bigger money move. That could easily happen if he put his mind to it. That would annoy me

Ntcham has more ability than McGinn but it’s * pointless if he can’t be arsed putting in a shift. He’s been * awful this season, bar a game or two (namely the first game against the huns at CP, which was over 6 months ago).

At least McGinn would put the graft in.

Ntcham's a special player in terms of his natural talent.

It's a shame that his desire doesn't match anywhere near his talent though, because more times than none when the team's been up against it he's shat it.

I agree. Its a strange thing that. If it was the same in every working environment we'd all get sacked.

"My mate left.....now i feel uneasy....unsettled....Im no gonnae put in a shift for like the next 6 months cause Im upset my mate left the company....."

The wonders of modern day fitbaw. But its pretty obvious that is the case.

Just send back your 20 grand a week cheque then mate if your gonnae no try cause your pal left.

I could see Big Jock or Ceasar putting up with that * from a player when they were in charge......

A manager like Benitez comes in and he will be amazing next season. If it’s Lennon then punt

I'd punt him regardless of who is manager next season. He clearly isn't interested and doesn't want to be here, you can't have a player you don't trust is going to do their best every week. All players have bad spells, but he isn't even going through the motions.

For arguments sake, even if he does come good for a new manager what hapens in January if someone comes in for him? Either we lose a good player at an important stage of the season (admittedly possibly for more money, but it's going to be hard to get a replacement then, which will also cost us more) or we run the risk of him going in a huff again and downing tools like this season. For me it's time to cut our losses with him, sell him in the summer and get a replacement in early.

He was abysmal under the rat as well.

I think a fresh start under another top coach would be good for him, could be wrong tho could still be *

I don't think the issue is with the management, he's been atrocious under 2 managers now. The issue lies with himself.

A guy of his ability should be embarrassed at some of the 'efforts' he's put in this season. The 2 away games at St Mirren were absolutely pitiful.
