    Ineffective so far.

Showed one bit of skill to beat a man and then picked out a punter in the crowd.

Isn’t quick enough to be a winger imo.

Not sure what’s happened to his pace, looked pacey for St.Mirren and the few appearances he had for us he didn’t look as slow as he does now. Might be better as an attacking mid since he’s strong on both feet, a lot to improve on but.

He’s no Celtic standard. Another Rodgers signing that was way off the mark. By the day it becomes clearer how ineffective BR was in the transfer market

It’s a shame because there was excitement when this boy signed, a left sided winger with pace.

    * knows what’s happened? Well I hope Sunderland go up and they want him permanently, fingers crossed we get back what we paid for him.

If they want him then they will pay more than 1.5m. But I think Sunderland will sign better players in an attempt to promote. However I think he will be loaned out again next season.

Another one where we sign half decent Scottish players to stop them playing for other Scottish teams but they are not Celtic class .

Lewis Morgan aims to make himself a first-pick in Neil Lennon’s new-look Celtic side.

The winger spent the second half of last season on loan but will return to Parkhead this summer looking to push himself firmly back into the fold.

The 22-year-old impressed in pre-season but then suffered an injury which derailed his campaign but now with a new manager in place he feels ready to make his mark.

Morgan revealed: “He (Neil Lennon) gave my agent a ring and spoke to him.

“It has been quite a quick turnover for him and I am sure he has been busy.

“The club have done really well, getting the treble Treble which is obviously unprecedented, so I am looking forward to going back in and working with him.

The aim is to play, it always has to be the aim. Being part of things week in and week out is what you want to do.

If you can get into that Celtic team then hopefully you can be part of things with Scotland as well.”

The biggest challenge for the St Mirren star will be competition. Jonny Hayes, James Forrest, new boy Maryan Shved, Mikey Johnston, Scott Sinclair and Daniel Arzani are all pushing for starts.

Morgan acknowledged: “Of course there is big competition. I knew when signing for the club that it was going to be like that.

“But I am looking at it in the way that it helps everyone improve if we are fighting over two spots.

“You always need to be at your best. If that helps push me on then it can only be a good thing.

“I still back myself. I was obviously disappointed with the game time and how it went, but I went out, got games and now I’m looking forward to going back

The former Sunderland loanee can take inspiration from other young Hoops, like Callum McGregor, Kris Ajer and Ryan Christie who have all forced their way into the Celtic team after successful loans.

He said: “Of course. Callum McGregor did as well, so did Kris Ajer.

“They went out and improved by playing week in and week out and getting games in their legs. Then they went back and really pushed for the team.

That’s what I am aiming to do now. I didn’t want to do it this way. I wanted to go and play straight away.

“But I had a great six months down the road and I am excited to come back up.”

Won't make it here, but if the choice is giving him a chance or signing brandon barker then i'd rather give him a shot

He's going to have to hit the ground running when he comes back in, if he gets some gametime in any of the Scotland games it will show Clarke rates him and boost his confidence, hopefully the competition will kick him on.

Don’t like his attitude where he thinks the loan was below him... as if he was entitled to walk into the first team.

I liked the look him him in the few games I seen him at st mirren but it’s going to a lot more than that to make it at Celtic... a hard work ethic and and working for it rather than been handed on a plate would help.

He was very vocal about it before he left saying he didn’t want to go down the same route as McGregor. If somebody at the clubs telling you that’s the route you need to take for your own benefit then Ye roll the sleeves up and Ye do it. Comes across like he feels like he should be a starter here. Put in the graft first then MAYBE you’ll earn it. That’s how he comes across to me anyway
