Good to see them enjoying it.

One step closer for them to first team football.

Johnston, Hendo and Church should see minutes once the league’s done.

I’d put McInroy in as well if he wasn’t injured.

Need to smash St. Johnstone and get the goal difference up.

Probably need a 5 or 6 goal win if we’re assuming the Huns will win against Falkirk.

I thought Okoflex had some incredible touches in the game - his ability to kill a ball coming in from height stone dead is fabulous, reminds me of Lubo. He skinned his man on that left side a number of times and great ball through to Aitch for that goal. Thought he definitely outshone his team-mate on the other flank, wee Dembele, today.

CELTIC’S Under-20s clinched the City of Glasgow Cup last night (Tuesday) in dramatic style, when Robbie Deas scored a 95th minute thunderbolt to put his side 3-2 up and out of sight.

In the immediate aftermath of the match, coach Tommy McIntyre hailed his young stars from back to front, and is certain they’ll learn and grow from a successful and well-deserved cup final experience.

“If you’re going to score a winning goal, that’s the way to do it – not just the fact that it came in the last minute, but also the way in which it was scored,” said Tommy McIntyre in an exclusive interview with Celtic TV. “It was a fantastic goal to finish a great game. I think that’s the first time Robbie Deas has shot with his right foot!

“But I thought he was brilliant, Welshy at the back, too. It’s difficult to single out players, though, and I thought everyone – the subs included – the character they showed was a great advert for football.

"For our young players to come and play at Celtic Park, in a cup final, that experience is tremendous.”

Tommy McIntyre stressed that while player development is central to the Celtic Youth Academy’s outlook, part of that extends to winning trophies.

The coach was pleased with how his side handled themselves at Celtic Park on Tuesday evening, and was doubly delighted with the result given his side’s recent Glasgow derby defeat in the league.

He added: “I thought we still had good chances in the second, despite losing the two-goal lead we created in the first-half.

"We had one chance towards the end of the first-half which could have made it 3-0, and going into the break two in front, we of course knew that Rangers would want to come back into it at some stage.

“But we still had our chances, even at 2-1, we broke away and we got them on the counter. We missed one or two to put the game to bed, and then they got a wondergoal for the equaliser.

"That put us under a bit of pressure, but I thought the boys managed the game magnificently well.

“Our goals were wonderful. Before the game, we talked about learning from the previous league game’s disappointment, and we said to the players it was up to them to sort it out, they knew what they had to do. They’re good players and we knew they could handle that, the type of game and the pressure. Again, they were magnificent.”

Both reserve games on Monday 6th now.

    Celtic vs St Johnstone
    Falkirk vs Huns

Both level on points but Huns have +3 better goal difference.
