I liked him at Everton, and thought he should have had more of a chance at Man Utd, but * me disaster at Sunderland, disaster at Real Sociedad and disaster at West Ham.

Probably a really nice guy, but if he ends up as manager here then I'm away...

Think he was good at Preston before..

Did he no do an alright job at West Ham. Came in and made them hard to beat and stuck Arnautovic up top and got joy like that. Can't mind how it ended..

I'm still holding out hope that we'll get a gem in but if it's a direct choice between Lenny and Moyes just now, then Moyes is ahead for me..

He signed Arnautovic. That says it all.

Guy is a good player, but he has an appalling attitude and is a disaster in the dressing room.

Wouldn't touch Moyes with a barge-pole. A yesterdays-man who thought himself too good for Scottish football whilst the offers were coming in from the Premier league and who would be off like a shot if a Crystal Palace or Brighton took interest. The club needs better.

We tried to sign Arnautovic before he came to England :fear:

    Aye, I know.

    He was a * then, and he's a * now.

If loyalty is an issue, then Lennon certainly is the best fix to that problem.

Not too keen on Moyes either but if it’s between him and Lenny, then Moyes every day.

Loyalty isn't the only issue though. As i said he's yesterdays-man with out-dated ideas and tactics.

We have been playing very poor attacking football recently and some are calling for Moyes to take over.

    * *. I give up.

    * forbid the new manager leaves it late getting a win.

    This place would be madness.

I think he was just here to pay his respects, i'm sure he said a few weeks ago he was interested but it was Lennons to lose. Our performances under Lennon have been pretty dire and i don't think he'll get the job but i'd be shocked if moyes was the next candidate.

Whoever gets the job has a good bit of work to do with the squad.

Simunovic if he can stay fit will suffice for the qualifiers but we still need at least 2 CB’s to compete with him and Ajer. We also need a first team quality right back and a competent LB as cover for KT who could be out for a while.

Shved coming in will give us more creativity in the final third but I’d also like to add another number 10 that’s more mobile than Rogic.

Say whatever you want about Moyes but you can't hold Arnautovic against him. Excellent signing.

Moyes didn't sign Arnautovic, but he did change his position and got him playing his best football in ages. Won their POTY.

Ah, I was just going by Slippy saying he had signed him.

    * Moyes anyway. Not the man either. David Wagner is the man in my opinion, assuming the likes of AVB et al will be out of reach.

    Disaster at West Ham?

He took over when they were in the relegation zone and they ended up finishing 13th, 9 points clear of the drop.

Which part of our current form did (some) folks not see under BR?

We're not any better under NL - but we're certainly not any worse than what we'd been for the bulk of BR's latter-half 2018 term!

You can't expect NL to come back into the club in the circumstances he did and magically turn things around.

I'm not fully convinced he's the right man, but some of the * being posted on here is going WAY overboard!

We had won 7 league games on the spin in 2019, scoring 18 goals. Nothing was needing magically turned around.

Sadly Lennon has turned it around, and now if we're not drawing 0-0, then we're winning games by the skin of our teeth.

*? Nothing needed turning around? How about turning around the shell-shocked squad of players who'd just been * over by that snake Rodgers? Continuing the season and winning the TT was never going to e a walk in the park for ANY manager!
