    55 million light years away

    Context-

    1 light year = ~ 6,000,000,000,000 miles

Travelling at 60mph, would take roughly 11,173,380 years to travel one light year

    55 million light years away!!

Truly is mind bending stuff,it's no wonder some scientists go round the twist trying to make sense of the universe.

The closer you got the faster you would go as you’d be getting pulled into the centre of it.
Also the gravity would be so dense it would slow time down so that something like a minute there would be eight hours on earth.
I mean.... that’s if you believe what they say about it.
Can they really know for certain? It’s all just guess work at this stage.

I think there will always be a measure of calculated guess work involved,no one can say for certain how these Black holes perform.there's so much mystery in outer space it would take millennia to even scratch the surface.

The significance of that picture is mind blowing. It confirms Einsteins theory of general relativity and how gravitational pull bends space and time.

If the image had been anything other than a deep darkness surrounded by a super heated ring then his theories would have to be completely rethought.

It proves what an unbelievable mind that Einstein had. Truly the most intelligent person ever to have lived.
