[IMG] St Johns Tower ,all that remains of the fort garrison where Robert the Bruce summoned the nobility of Scotland to in 1315 (year after Bannockburn ) and the seeds were sown of Scottish Independence ( Declaration of Arbroath) ...that Scotland shamefully rejected in 2014 .

The school is on Waterford Street just off clonard Gardens. That side of the wall is hun land. 42 years living beside and I don't even know what it's called.
You can see a dip in the wall. Big steel gate where the huns used to walk through our playground to get to and from work in the mill

I went there for the first time in my life late last year and was saddened by what it has become, 20 quid to get bussed to it, you can’t get near the stones and for free you can stand a few metres further back which is what I chose to do.

Hi Viz everywhere and the sense of something spiritual sanitised for selfie taking tourists, genuinely sickening, also I spoke to some of the people who permanently camp around that general area, they are constantly under high court threats of removal and that’s the few that haven’t been driven out already, in many ways Stonehenge is the blueprint of what the UK has become and how commercialism rules over any sense of spirituality that’s still left.

Crying shame as it’s such a lovely part of the world down there

My house now sits on the former mackies factory site which was one of only a few locations here to be targeted by the Luftwaffe.

I live near the "TT circuit Assen". One of the most populair tracks of the Moto GP and the only track for the British Superbikes outside the UK. Also since a few years being used for the MXGP.

Live near one of the few non-fictional locations represented in the Tintin stories, from L'Affaire Tournesol - Professor Topolino's house is actually still standing
