Tbh I never get annoyed when players or managers want to leave for whatever reason (usually money)
Some people need to get a grip
This is football ffs

 

I’m not trying to downplay his achievements but I’m sure we can find other managers that can win many trophies domestically when they have at least 3 times the budget of any other team.
In Europe we were *, yes we qualified for the champions league twice in a row but it would have been disastrous if hapoel or Astana had knocked us out. The result against Athens was a shocker and our 3rd place finish in the CL was only because anderlecht were in complete disarray.
It’s disappointing he’s left but it’s not the end of the world, teams with lower budgets than us are doing far better in Europe and Rodgers looked incapable of improving us, we can do better but we need the board to be ambitious.

His timing is an absolute disgrace. He's certainly not the man I thought he was. He was held in almost *-like regard amongst us - he's totally destroyed his reputation with this.

The potential to go into free fall now is huge. I hope the players can shake this off - they must feel like they've been hit by a truck. Broony needs to put in the captain's performance of his life and drag us through this to steady the ship.

If this mess costs us the league I will never forgive him.

Hes a bit of a space cadet with some * he spouts. His footballs class if his budgets bigger than the opposition otherwise it's all level this level that.

I do indeed. Better managers out there for sure but I certainly don't think I could name 10 better.

 

What does annoy me is players refusing to play or the signing of * players or * managers.

He has a double treble to his name, but as much as he was a good domestic manager, he was dross in Europe. Didn't dare to speak out against the * that is Peter Lawwell. I don't hate him with fiery passion, but I'm not losing sleep tonight over his departure.

Rodgers leaves with no respect regardless of what he has won. To leave us at this point in the season is up there with the condemnation that Dembele got. To give statements like he did the other day about being a supporter blah blah blah then to go to a mediocre club like Leicester is the most hurtful thing for any Celtic supporter to take. He has played us . A judas. Hope his new found club get relegated while we celebrate another treble.

 

His general hypocrisy. Publicly calling out Dembele and Boyata for attempting to force moves then does the exact same thing himself.

The timing, if Leicester wanted him so badly I'm sure he could have talked them into waiting until the end of the season, they have * all to play for this season and he can't sign anyone until the summer anyway.

His blatant disregard for the club and the fans.

 

Lawwell must face the fans after all of this, the club can't continue losing manager after manager for most part, because they feel they aren't being backed.

In the end I guess it has to accepted, Rodgers has totally ruined any goodwill he had with us, history will show him as one our most successful managers in the modern game, but he will now be the most detested above the likes of Barnes, Mowbray and Ronny.

The board can't keep doing this.
