I took a walk around a local loch today . It was very calm , the loch surface was like a mirror , and unseasonably mild too . I saw 4 pairs of ducks and a pair of swans . They were all on the loch .

As a Winter lover, and I don't mind the cold either, this unseasonably mild weather is *' annoying me. Winter should be COLD.

Thank you good friend. Also I'm just back from a wee walk around Hogganfield Loch before I go and get * later on. It's a great wee place to see birds close up. Saw a few Whooper Swans, as well as lots of Mute. There were plenty of Goldeneyes, Tufted Ducks, Goosanders, Mallards, Coots,Moorhens, Herons, Herring and Black Headed Gulls, Greylag Geese, Carrion Crows, Starlings and a couple of Lesser Black Back Gulls. It was a great way to start the year.

Sensational spots mate. Never seen a Rose Coloured Starling before, and not seen a Chough for a couple of years now. Jealous as *

I ran over either a Weasel, Stoat or Mink on the M8 westbound opposite those pyramid hill things where the guy paints the sheep or paints a big * off poppy, which can * off by the way, on Saturday afternoon.

I’m not proud of it, in fact I am ashamed

Unless it was a mink, then get it right up you ya wee trout stealing *.

Yes Mink should not be here of course, they do massive damage to our wildlife, luckily Otters have made a fine comeback and really help culling them in a natural way.But yes if it was a Weasel or Stoat:55:

It was too short for both I think and it was dark grey on top and lighter underneath maybe 6-8” long, also a bit too chunky for either a weasel or stoat.

Regardless of the joke about mink, I still feel horrible about it

I sincerely hope it wasn’t a dormouse? I’ve checked online and it is beginning to look like it

    On a lighter note

Don’t know which bird of prey but it had a vole in its talons at Hamilton Service Station just at the entrance to the drive through Costa.
