It sounds absurd saying Allan has more than him but when you compare the last 6 months each player had (Allan for Hibs, him for Aberdeen) and the friendlies, Allan did better

Looks sharp and hungry with good work rate but sadly don't think he's good enough to make it here.

Celtic is a level too far for him.

SUNDERLAND are ready to offer Ryan Christie a route out of Celtic.

SunSport understands Jack Ross hopes to tie up a loan deal for the 23-year-old with a view to signing him permanently in January.

Although the transfer window is closed south of the border, clubs can still take players on loans.

Christie, who spent the last season and a half with Aberdeen, is out of contract next summer and won’t be given a new deal.

The Scotland international, a £500,000 buy from Inverness back in 2015, came off the bench in the Champions League qualifiers against Alashkert and Rosenborg but hasn’t been involved since.

Celtic want to recoup as much of their outlay on Christie as they can so will listen to offers.

And a loan-to-buy arrangement with the English League One side would suit both parties.

If it's true he won't be offered a new deal, he's been a complete waste of money. Almost as pointless as signing Compper.

Hardly. He was a young up and comer, signed by the former regime - didn’t work out the way the club wanted but still has the potential to be a decent player if given the right opportunity. He had some decent performances for us, just wasn’t at the level we needed at the time.

Couldn’t be further from the truth, 500K which is * all and probably on 5K per week for a promising young talent.

He was by far one of the most techincally gifted and creative players outside of Celtic in the league when we signed, great work rate and he scores & creates plenty.

It’s ashame it hasn’t worked out since I had high hopes for him but he’s also been unlucky that we had Commons & Johansen when we got him and now Rogic & McGregor plus Arzani and Morgan can play the no.10 role.

You’re both wrong. He’s done the square root of * all as a Celtic player. Complete waste of a signing.

We took a punt, now we need to punt.

    Never mind.

You have to take some punts, in reality he wasn't given much of a chance so can't take it out on him. Going to Sunderland would be a good move for him.

I hate it when a club signs a player whom they never give a chance.
