    Worst case would surely be

    Arsenal
    Chelsea
    AC Milan

I gather its seeded and those teams will probably all be in Pot 1 but regardless the 2 English teams would rip our current team apart, * that for a laugh, the English already give our league enough grief.

You literally just answered your own question, we can get 1 of those teams, and even still you cant have 2 sides from same country in a group.

Pretty sure Zenit earlier this year was full house, why do you think Europa group stages will be empty? It will likely be cheaper than the usual UCL 3 match package of around £100-120. Price it at around £75-85 for the 3 match package and they'll sell a lot.

I sense a small boycott for the qualifier but as soon as we are in the group stages then there will definitely be 50k+ at each game, most probably 55k+

    Edit....

Zenit was 56,743 so not too far off full house. Champions League nights are only 58,* due to seat limitations for advertising and segregation.

The only thing that might put a dampener on the attendances is if we have to play 6pm kick offs. If its 8pm kick offs we should be fine.

    Probable 4 pots...

    1a.jpg

    So we will avoid...

Sporting Lisbon, Copenhagen, Marseille and AC Milan. Nice to be in Pot 2 for a change.

No Hibs, Rangers or Burnley in the above prediction though.

Zenit was in the Knockouts though, there's an apathy about the Group Stage from some. Think the most we've got for a Group game was 45k v Ajax, that was under Ronny though so you'll no doubt be right about it being being 50k+ this campaign.

Think we need to draw Arsenal or Chelsea to generate real excitement to match Champions League crowds.

Suduva won the first leg away 1-0 so most likely we will face them next week.

Aye bring it on. It's not the glamour of the Champions League, but we'll get to test ourselves against sides who will be more at our level than the likes of Bayern Munich or PSG.

There's a chance (small chance) that we could end up in Pot 1, if we get to the Group Stages. In order to be in Pot 1 we would need 8 or more of the following 10 to happen:

Benfica knock out PAOK (CL Qualifiers)
RB Salzburg knock out Red Star Belgrade (CL Qualifiers)
PSV knock out BATE (CL Qualifiers)
Burnley knock out Olympiacos (EL Qualifiers)
Molde knock out Zenit (EL Qualifiers)
Atalanta knock out Copenhagen (EL Qualifiers)
Apollon Limassol knock out Basel (EL Qualifiers)
Partizan Belgrade knock out Besiktas (EL Qualifiers)
Sigma Olomouc knock out Sevilla (EL Qualifiers)
Torpedo Kutaisi knock out Ludogorets (EL Qualifiers)

If 7 or fewer of the above happen, then we will be in Pot 2.

Gives us a few other teams to cheer on next week!

Lawwell will need to change his pants in Nyon if we're drawn with teams in that bracket.

    Celtic 3
    Salzburg 3
    Rosenborg 0
    Leipzig 0

    Celtic 1-0 Rosenborg
    Leipzig 2-3 Salzburg

Bit of a surprise result in the other game.
