I’m not enthused by him. He is too old to be considered a prospect. I would rather try to find another gem like Ntcham, and give Eboué more game time in the holding role.

Well he aint a prospect, he’s proven at domestic level he has the ability and has played well for Scotland when called up. He’s only 22, the same age we bought Armstrong at and he’s a much better all round player than Armstrong was at that age.

It’s not lack of ambition is looking at the long term plan, we need a spine of a team that will stick around for years. Broony doesn’t have long being able to play so many games a season, Ntcham will be far too good for us to hold onto long term. He suits our style of play, just because he plays for Hibs doesn’t mean he can’t become a massive player for us.

Would like to see him stay at Hibs another season, I've no doubt he could do a job for us but would like to see Kouassi given the chance to play that position

I agree it probs will be 2.5 mill plus allan ,being on his last year greatly reduces hibs hand in this as the player can dig his heals in regarding wot club ,i also agree its good the money stays in our league , dont see him as a direct replacement but could add steel to our shape in europe ,allowing more freedom to a rogic or mcgregor to play their more natural role .

He’ll be 24 at the beginning of the season, mate. I take your point about him being here long-term though. He might have another level in him - I’m not sure.

I'm sure there fans would be delighted with that but don't see it happening, he'll move on to us or top end English Championship side probably

This season he has been used more as a Petrov type player by Hibs, playing box to box. And to be fair he has scored a few quality goals off his powerful foot.

But i think that given the physical qualities the guy has, we would eventually use him in the brown role.

Journo down south saying Derby have contacted Hibs for him but we’re already well down the line on a deal for him.

Really hope this isn’t true. We need players that will ligitimately compete with Ntcham and Brown. Or a young talent that will eventually be first choice when they are sold/retired.

FRANK LAMPARD’S Derby County are making a desperate late move for Hibs and Scotland midfielder John McGinn.

Lampard is willing to pay £3million for the hard-running star and is fighting to stop him from joining Celtic.

The Rams chief has been active during his time working as a TV pundit at the World Cup and is hoping to persuade McGinn to come to the English Championship.

McGinn has strong Celtic connections and a sale to the Glasgow giants is still on, but Lampard wants to go all of the way in the pursuit.

Birmingham City have also joined the chase and would find the cash for the highly-rated player who seems set to leave Neil Lennon’s club.
