I think a few midfielders will be moved on, but a left footer would help.
He's a workhorse, so i'm all for it.

At least you know McGinn will give 100% every game. I think he could be moulded into a far greater player under BR.

I don't think he's as good when Armstrong is on top form yet, but if we can get him for under £2m, he would be a decent signing.

If we are willing to pay 2-3m for a midfielder i'd take him at that , but if we are willing to pay 5m or so to replace Armstrong in the squad i would look elsewhere.

Sign him just to stop folk asking to sign him. We can always loan him back in january when everyone realises hes not good enough.

Need a more attacking CM to replace Armstrong imo. Won't be surprised if we do sign McGinn, though.

I'd be disgusted as a Hibs fan if we were offered that for one of our prize asssets, and rightly so.

We moan about being lowballed for our players, so the other teams in this country deserve the same respect as we do.

Much do you think he is worth Slippy? When you look at Ntcham for £4.5m

    I'd hazard a guess that £3.5- 4m + Allan would be a reasonable deal.

4 year contract sees his best years here for a little less than £1m per season, and keeps the money in the league.

    No brainer all round.

I think 3mill tops is a fair price. 2.5 plus Allan would be good business for all concerned. I'm sure mcginn is going in to his last year and being realistic thats the top end anyone is going to pay for a hibs players. The more high profile the club &/or league the more a player will command, might not like it but that's the facts of the matter hibs->celtic->epl

Seen a few “if I you think John Mcginn is better than Stuart Armstrong you now nothing about football” posts now.

If we bought Mcginn from Hibs now we would be getting a better player than the Stuart Armstrong we signed from Dundee Utd.

I’d said previously about buying McGinn and loaning him back for a season. I think he is a brown type player and one to have when he retires.

Though with Armstrong leaving this should be the opportunity for Eboue to grab his chance. Considering he cost £ 3mil he is who Brendan sees as he sits comfortably beside brown.

    I’ll trust either player.

Signing John McGinn would show such a lack of ambition it would be scary, surely to * people can see that we have to be aiming higher.

Good spl player yes but we must be aiming a bit higher, and he wont want to sit on the bench until brown hangs up his boots at celtic.i still dont see brown being rotated that much to accomadate him as brown is the heartbeat of the team and u cant drop Ntcham either.

Fair does if we do end up signing him but he won't be an Armstrong replacement, totally different players.
