    Sure?
    Im thinking 40 divided by1/ 5(place)= 8 x o.50 =4.00+0.50(stake)=4.50?

Quarter of the odds for a place more than 16 runners in a handicap, so 10/1 for the place if it was 40/1

I'm not sure as I'm not sure what odds it was backed at or exactly what Hills place odds were but I think they were paying 1/4 odds.

Some bookies will offer extra places in the national but will only give 1/5 odds, they all offer different deals ,either way it wouldnt be a huge difference in the returns with them stakes.
