    As some will know, I'm quite in to mafia stuff. Could probably be a historian on the subject to be honest :giggle1:

    Love the ingenuity of the early wise guys who revolutionised it from petty crime to a full blown business, forming the Commission and the 5 main families. Luciano, Frank Costello, Carlo Gambino et al. Anastasia and Murder Inc, right through to your Gottis and the Donnie Braco fiasco. Such a fascinating way of life back in the early days, living like kings with next to go reprimand as thry had every * in their pockets. Still try to keep up with whats happening these days but the guys out there living the life are nowhere near the original wise guys.

    Anybody else interested in the topic? Know decent documentaries or whatever? Probably seen them all but you never know :giggle1:

    Martonaro grew up in the most normal surroundings ever but showed extreme talent a ruthlessness for what he did, I'm suprised black mass didnt explore his character more.

    A bit leftfield but you'd love Punisher MAX, on the other side it shows how Frank Castle deals with Mobsters, Romanian slave Traffickers (BEST STORY EVER), Irish Mob and dissidents, all in glourious bloodshed and violence that definetly isnt for fans of that avengers * :84:

    Yes I’m fascinated by mafioso history Doogs. Even their workings with the Irish mob etc. I tend to find people and sociology interesting. I’m interested in what makes people tick and group together. Different classes and movements through history who have intermingled to make money. The men at the very top are always put in place by criminality. Even right down to football firms I have an encyclopaedic knowledge that some would think anoraky.

    Aye I love getting right into the minds of them, try and understand how they're so indoctrinated into that way of life.

    Some legendary Irish and Jewish Mobsters as well right enough. Jimmy Burke, Vincent Coll, Lansky, Dutch Schultz to name a few.

    Edit: How could I forget Arnold Rothstein. Absolutely fascinating guy

    Watching Joe Valachi in front of the Senate Committee is a good watch as well. First Supergrass of La Cosa Nostra.

    loads of docs on youtube, watched loads and read a couple of books,that life isn't as glamerous as it's depicted in the movies,you have a high chance of dying a violent death or dying in prison.

    @Doogs.

    You should look up the real Henry Hill’s interviews with Howard Stern on YT.

    There’s one where Spider’s sister from real life comes on and starts abusing him and giving out about how her family were portrayed as rats in the movie and so on.

    It’s kind of chilling how nonchalant Hill is when talking about where bodies are etc.. literally doesn’t give a *.

    The book St.Pauli recommended is a belter as well.
