There must be more people who play, collect and enjoy vinyl records. Post your stuff here if you want to. (New albums/7" records/turntables/set ups etc.) Will post more pics etc. in the next year, but just wanted to start this one up.

This is my little set up. A fully revised custom, powder coated Technics SL-1210MK2 turntable. A Yahama A-S501 amplifier and some small Artsound speakers as I don't need more in an apartment surrounded by neighbours. Wanted to post some better/more pics, but having big problems with Imgur atm.

Nice set up Vin. Remember you getting the 1210. Such an accurate turntable!:50:

Thanks mate. It's a fantastic turntable. Wish I hadn't sold and/or gave away a lot of my records in the mid 90's. Feel like such an idiot now. :giggle1: But slowly getting back to a decent mini collection.

I got rid of 2 1210s and thousands of vinyl about 3 years ago. Still annoyed with myself. Son has started collecting now. Paying silly prices for repress and I had most on original.:54:

Ouch. A guy I know never stopped buying and collecting through the whole 90's and beyond when the cd got popular. He has a massive metal collection. Lp's he bought at shows were even cheaper than the cd version and are now worth a small fortune a piece. Only really started buying vinyl again somewhere in 2005-ish. Wish I kept buying it like the guy above. Can not imagine how these digital copies of music nowadays appeals to people as an LP and even some 7" records have some insane packaging (at least in the metal scene they really sometimes make a real effort in the total package). But hey to each their own.

Was in the Belfast market a week before Christmas. Some of the vinyl that I had, guy was selling between £40-80. Crazy money. I sold mine for around £2-3 each. Lot of 12 inch but hundreds of albums.
My 17 yr old has got around 40 albums of his own. Stuff he's buying. Managed to get Nirvana Never mind on blue vinyl from 1991. He's big into Rick James through me and has a few. But as you say, the magic of The inlay sheets and lyrics, sometimes even posters. Brilliant, love the smell of the vinyl also.:50:

I've got A Mk 2 1210 and a Mk 1 1800 both hooked to a mixer and then through a Technics SUZ1 amplifier that was built in 1979. The Mk1 1800 was build in 1976. My Technics turntables should last forever. I also have a Technics SLD 33 automatic turntable. Although it has a pitch control the automatic arm return renders it pretty useless for any DJing purposes.

Just ordered these 2 lp´s on ebay. Not sure what color the vinyl will be, but I hope just plain black tbh. Don´t care too much about colored vinyl, although I have plenty I´d prefer just simple black vinyl.

I have a burgeoning collection of 12 inch vinyl - originally picked up some from the ‚rents and have way over 400 plus now

Music is only real on vinyl
Everything else is secondary or fake

Been buying a lot of vinyl over the last 18 months. Kinda encourages you to listen to the full album rather than skip to next track with downloads. Note that wee heart thing isn't mine :52: image.jpeg

Was at Whitby Scooter rally a couple of weeks ago. Went to the stalls there and within a few minutes bought about £300 worth of vinyl from the 80s Mod era.
Started to collect my vinyl about 2 or 3 years ago. Got a couple of 100 Albums and same of singles.
