I like his energy and running power and he can offer a good goal threat. Think these all mask that he's actually not the best technically, but when he's on it he's a big asset for us.

SA: "I felt for most of the game we were very good, patient to start off with and after the first goal we kept on attacking and it was all about getting that second goal and sealing it."

SA: "It was really nice play for the second goal and we ended up being very comfortable in the end."

SA: "We have been in situations when we have had bad results before and we have done really well in the next game, and tonight was just another example of how strong we are as a team and the character we have as a team."

SA: "It was a disappointing performance (against Hearts) but it was an incredible achievement to reach that record so to come back and win again tonight – we have another 69 to go to get a new one!"

SA: "Of course, the first goal is always nice and takes a bit of pressure on us and provokes them to come out a little, attack more, which then creates more space for ourselves to add to our tally."

SA: “The first goal was nice and, from a personal point of view, I was overdue to get a goal so it put a smile on my face. Scoring goals for me is the best part of playing football and that’s what I enjoy most."

Armstrong is a lot better technically than a lot of people give him credit for.
If you look at some of his finishes, he always looks to find a corner. Whats more is that he scored a stunning free kick last season (partick away?) if he wasnt good technically, he wouldnt have got near it.
I think at times he lacks composure, eg. Bayern at home.

Don't get me wrong, he's not * or anything like that and has got quality but sometimes his passing and touch isn't the best for me.

Thought he did well tonight. Showing glimpses of last seasons form. Fantastic goal. His passing was the best it has been for quite a while.

His driving runs were great for us tonight. We were far to slow in possession for a lot of the game but his runs forward got the break through and made some other opportunities for us.

Back to the Stuart of last season last night, tenacious, driven and dangerous.

Seems to be finding his form, which is frustrating due to the fact he only signed such a short extension so it feels like he's doing it to put himself in the shop window.

But you know what?, * it, if it means we get him playing at his best whilst we try and build up some form then least make use of it.

Much better last night but it must be asked where those levels of performance have been recently.

I'd take £4-5m for him in January

I might just be getting cynical in my auld age, but sadly I agree with you.

It's no coincidence he puts in a shift like that when the window opens in 2 weeks time. I fully expect him to be away come February 1st.

    Agree

On a positive it might boost the fee we get for him

He can at times be erratic but i think that naturally, being in and out of the team disrupts his form. Now we are seeing him benefit from a run of game time.

He needs to sort his future out and i think it will do him the world of good. i also think that BR should be giving him the two options in January. I personally hope he stays but if Mcginn and Majer are potentially arriving its looking increasingly unlikely.

I must have saw a different game from you lot, even the guys around me thought aside from his goal he offered very little. and was wandering through large portions of the game, he wasn't the only one mind you.
