This is very unfair on Ronny who was a competent managerand had his moments. He made too many mistakes to ever be regarded as one of our better managers; but we are not talking John Barnes or Liam Brady here.

C*** put us out of CL qualifying 2 years in a row: first by putting in one of the most toothless performances I have ever seen in the hoops against Maribor, then by turning into Marco Van * Basten against us for Malmo one year later.

I've never quite forgiven him. :56:

Why did you hide the word, *?

Because he isn't really one. Miller is a *, Judas is a definite * and an argument can be made that Guidetti is a *; but Jo Inge Berget is just a c***.

There are three types of * in this world:

    Good *
    Bad *
    And just plain ol' *

    A * is a * if you think he's a *, doesn't mean to say that by calling him a * you are ACTUALLY calling him a *.

Know what I mean, ya *?

That is my theory on the word. Never take it literally unless you mean they are a *.
On the other hand at a good old Irish wake whilst getting stuck into the dead persons last bottle of Jameson's they didn't get to drink. "Don't care what any * says but Paddy was a good *, * rest him."

I strongly disagree. I'm old enough to remember actual diddies managing us. Ronny was not one of our better managers; but he was no diddy.

Even Mowbray is not a diddy; he was just a little out of his depth (no disgrace at a massive club like us) and Ronny was a better manager than Mowbray.

Brendan got it about right when he described Ronny as a good coach and Lenny as a great coach.

Never liked this character at any time and that's very unusual for me to find no redeeming qualities for a guy that's worn our beloved jersey. Was a worse mercenary than Viduka

I think Mowbray was a victim of a concerted effort to make sure Rangers won the league to get the Champs league money. They were running on empty and would have went into admin earlier had it not been for winning the league- not everyone knew this but the SFA and the referees definitely did. I knew too thanks to Phil Mac. Look at the "honest mistakes" in the derby games that season.

Ronny was tactically clueless and had zero man management skills.

Makes him pretty much a diddy in the management department.

As for Brendan describing him as a good coach, hardly going to slate the man is he?
