    Roberts #7

    :35:

The lad seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He had the balls to say listen if Citeh don't want me then I'll decide were I'm going. Fair play to him he obviously loves Celtic. Can't wait to see him terrorize defences again.

Bruno was blowing smoke out of his * against hibs before half time. Picture him v Roberts, Griff, Sinclair, Rogic, McGregor etc. It's going to be another great season :yeah:

    Up the good guys!

Don't give him the 7, that's a perk he can have if he signs. Even if he has the quality to wear it, sort of cheapens it giving it to a loan player.

Nah it cheapens it handing it to donkeys like Ciftci. Roberts was made to wear the #7 jersey at Celtic.

Tbh the #7 has sort of lost its value a bit over the years due to absoulte garbage that has worn it since Keane...

I think he'll play both of them. And by both of them I mean only Roberts. And by only Roberts I mean, Forrest will get the odd run out here and there. And by here and there I mean, hardly ever. And by hardly ever I mean all the time. And by all the time I mean, not all the time.

Is there a better feeling than a player forcing a move to your club? Come home Paddy bhoy

To be fair ive said it before in here a while back when we brought in Hayes. I think the intention is to have two different winger styles.

One style and the first choice is the two wingers in the inside forward position who cut in from wide on their favoured foot and smash one in the back of the net i.e Sinclair and Roberts

Second option and the plan B is the two old school wingers that enjoy hitting the byline and crossing the ball on the run on their favourite foot i.e Forrest and Hayes. Although Forrest and Hayes can frustate (albeit Hayes hasnt been here long but already has that "gonny do something" thing with him) they will definitely wear teams down and thats where you could start with that in games we know that a teams going to stick 10 men behind the ball or the flip side you can bring them on when players tire and punish them with their pace.

Two excellent and very different wide options. Although the first choice has to be Sinclair and Roberts.

Does make it all the more satisfying that Paddy was desperate to come back.

Although it was always going to be great to get him back, it wouldn't have felt as good if he had no other options and just decided '* it, I'll head back there as I've nowhere to go'.

    He wants to be here.

    Good post.

Hayes on the left and Forrest on the right would still be very good wide players in the SPFL but having Sinclair and Roberts ahead of them really is icing on the cake.

Like you said, Rodgers can mix it up with that pool of wingers.

With the speed we are moving the ball about these days, the bhoys are putting in the running. So four wide men will be needed over the course. Great having the option. Just feels everything is going brilliant.

The option to buy thing is interesting and completely pointless IMO:56:

Unless it was an obscene fee, surely we'd just take it up immediately? :56: Can picture Rodgers, Lawwell and co sitting down once he has signed...'should be take up the option now Pete?' 'Nah, c'mon Brendan, don't want to act too keen fs, give it a few weeks'

"SunSport also believes they are trying to persuade Blues chiefs to give them an option of signing the Roberts PERMANENTLY next summer"

Either SunSport is another name for kds or there has to be some truth in this.

We'll see if the Man City fans start eating their words when they see Paddy score 6 hat tricks in 6 CL Group games. :celt_2:
