Did he not play at CB against Dundee Utd when Virgil was injured and again he was outstanding. He is the type of CB that Brendan likes, good on the ball and comfortable in possession. Not the answer but more likely to play there and do a job than in the centre of midfield.......in my opinion.

He sure has the height for it anyway. He is comfortable on the ball and is a good passer. Definitely think there is potential there. He could do with bulking up but that can easily be worked on.

Aslong as he slows the opponents attackers down and not our play, Im ok with him sometimes in there.

No. Steady tonight but was rarely troubled. Can fill in there when we are dominating but the thought of him under significant pressure against good European opposition would fill me with dread as I suspect it would most of us.

Centre back actually suits him I think as his distribution is good and he is so calm on the ball.. You'd have to worry about him there if we play against the top sides though.

He could actually be more suited to it. Less inclined to * about on the ball, can't slow the play down too much.

Was worried when he came on, didn't have faith in him. Kept thinking he was going to be our weak link, but he done well.

Still a fair few decent performance's away from changing my opinion of sell.

Could save us a few bob then. We got Bitton, Boyata, Eric, Jozo and Ajer. Don't think we need another CB then.

Fair play to Bitton, he done well when he came on.

Still think Jozo could have managed on his own though, * tank of a bhoy. :giggle1:

He done class tonight when called upon, fair play to the big man. He is composed on the ball and tidy with a pass. He is far too lightweight for a CB tho, when he plays in the middle i dont think ive ever seen him win a header.

Credit to Bitton, I dreaded it when he went in there, but he kept it simple and done the job.

Crazy that Ajer wasn't at least on the bench though.
