If he's with us for the rest of his career then who knows? Certainly one of the most gifted players I've seen in my time supporting Celtic.

'Cult hero' must be the most misused phrase on this forum.

I've only just accepted Scott Brown becoming a legend by becoming a Treble winning captain and dedicating 10 years of his playing career to us never mind Rogic.
Great player, scored important goals but never a legend.

Not really. I think cult hero replaces the word legend perfectly when used outta context. There is a long line of cult heroes in hoops.
    Dixie Deans
    Boruc
    Peter pointer Grant
    Cadette.
    Jackie McNamara
    Jonny Doyle.
List is endless really at our club. I think it is because us as fans will take an ordinary player and elevate them to cult status. Just because we know that Certain player would run through walls and knows what it means to earn those hoops.:50:

Surely OP is being a bit tongue in cheek but anyway...no, nowhere near it.

What I will say, however, is that he will never be forgotten in Celtic's History no matter what happens from here on in due to that goal in the Cup Final.

One of the great Celtic goals, IMO. Or at least, it will go on to be remembered as such.

Not cult heros. A cult hero, among a football club, is a player only lauded by a small portion of the fanbase. Almost polarising in nature.

A McCourt, Sammy at times - Guys like that. Boruc would have his detractors, but I would say in a whole he was quite universally loved, which by definition means he wouldn't be a 'cult hero'.

Different views on cult heroes I say then. A cult hero for me never reached Legendary status but their stories are often remembered and retold. And as I say usually built up by the love from the fans.

But that's completely wrong by definition, which is what my original post was getting at. It's the most misused phrase about.

'Fans favourite' doesn't quite have the same ring to it as cult hero!
