Ronaldo still has 30 matches remaining that he can possiby play in this season not including internationals and he needs just 22 more goals to reach the 600 mark.

Messi only 10 away from McGrory's record.

Messi just needs 2 more goals to equal Jimmy McGrory but is still 34 goals behind Ronaldo

I think McGrory's record is different because it was unique. I don't think anyone had seen a player with his ability to score with every part of his natural body, feet and head and his headers were legendary in their prowess. I don't think McGrory had the similar quality of team mates that Messi and Ronaldo have been blessed with.

However if there ever was a player who stood above all even if we don't have video evidence of our esteemed ancestors I think Messi is way beyond what anyone has ever spoken of in their most prophetic witnesses of divine insight.

That is now both Ronaldo and Messi moved above McGrory with Ronaldo currently on 583 goals and Messi on 551 goals.

Staggering goalscoring record from Ronaldo, 390 goals and 111 assists in 383 games for Madrid.

    I love them both.

Ronaldo a bit more. But I concede Messi is the better player. Have these in my mancave

I agree with him all though I think he better than Pele and Best.

I agree, I'm not keen on Ronaldo or his attitude, but he's only second to Messi for me.

    What's up with his attitude?

I used to prefer Messi and always thought Ronaldo was a bit of a *, but I actually think the opposite now. Messi is a sleekit * when things don't go his way, heard he's a bit of a * in real life and he avoids tax despite earning a small fortune in a foreign country.

Compare that with Ronaldo, he's very charitable, takes selfies with pitch invaders, and I've not heard much about him being a bad guy in any way. Add that to the fact he probably trains harder than any other footballer on the planet and you can't really fault the man. He's earned a lot of respect from me.

As for the tax evasion, he should have known better but his Dad is the main man responsible for it, along with Messi being badly advised by his father.

Look at their attitude on the pitch and towards their team mates.... Ronaldo is me me me. Complains at players not passing to him, likes to celebrate alone and tries to take all the limelight. Messi hardly ever moans at any miss placed passes by his team mates and always celebrates with them.

Ronaldo acts like a spoilt child on the pitch that's what really annoys me about him.

One thing I like about Ronaldo is how good a father he is to his son.

This is true, it's part of the reason I never used to like him, his desire to win is obviously extreme, plus when he was at united he used to dive all the time. Can't help but appreciate how good a player he is though.
