Exactly what I'm saying, decent enough for spfl, not for CL. When he * up like that (e.g. Vs Astana), from 25 yards out, it's going to be a goal. Higher level players will capitalise.

Solid is an over statement, better teams would have punished us for the mistakes he's made.

According to some tabloids and rumours. Shouldn't really take anything from them in general in truth but the fact nothing has been agreed when it appeared it was going to be completed no problems after the window shut does suggest negotiations haven't been straightforward.

Personally speaking (or typing) if he is stalling on a new contract after us putting him back in limelight after 2 years of plummeting into the abyss ..then enjoy warming the bench big man !! But again that maybe the SMSM doing what they do best again !

BR on Craig Gordon: "Contract offer still ongoing. These things take a little bit of time. We all want it resolved as soon as we can."

BR: "This is an important contract for Craig and the Club. You don’t just snap your fingers at these things and they happen over night."

BR: "So certainly not stalled, it’s just ongoing talks and I would hope that it would be resolved very soon."

I've got a feeling Gordon is stalling because we've told him he'll likely be number 2 next season.

I think it's more likely that there's a delay due to it probably being Gordon's last 'good' contract as a player.

It's all made up rumours, but could his head be turned after the solid interest from Chelsea?. Perhaps he's thinking maybe he could do with a big pay off at level of club like that.

He has improved, but he does tend to make at least one passing mistake per game, some of them very poor.

Can't say I've ever been 100% comfortable with him but I've never trusted a manager's judgement more than Brendans

Wouldn't be overly fussed to lose him, although he has improved notably in his distribution over the last couple of months.

    Good keeper, certainly not irreplaceable.

Good news. He had his wobbles earlier in the year but he's done exactly what we've needed him to do for the most part.

His use of the ball with his feet has definitely improved, and he looks confident and controlled again between the sticks.

It's a position I still think we can improve upon, but with Gordon there for the next few years there's definitely no rush to replace him.

Surely a new keeper must be bought soon, for the future. Gordon's alright for now, but never the level we need for CL. Hopefully Brendan has his eyes on a keeper, who can come in & replace Gordon

Good news with the new contract. Reckon he'll be first choice for one more season at least, and then BR will buy a youngish keeper to eventually take over from him.

Think that too. Not sure what Chelsea were willing to pay him but would imagine it would be near double what we pay him at least. He's got no tie to us he isn't a Celtic fan. I hope he stays i think he's a really good keeper. De Vries was obviously meant to be better and that ain't turned out too well so far

Happy if he sticks around but the Costil rumours had/have me swaying.

3 and a half years is a long time for a player of his age.
