    Players say anything though, i'd never listen to anything a player says as they will never say the truth.

    He was hardly going to say "the standard up here is *, obviously I can't stay too long as I need to improve and want to be a quality player theres no chance im staying longer than 2 seasons". Even though we all know that is the reality of the situation as soon as we see a player who is too good to be playing up here and bossing it at a young age like him Wanyama and Van Dijk.

    And when we reject that, come back with a more serious offer.
    To be fair though, he has made this point a few times and his word choice is very positive.

    He could have said "I wanr to stay as long as I can " instead of a more factual and certain line of "I'm here 100%"

    No doubt if we get offered 30-35 odd million then hes for the off. Until that time hes our player for 3 and a half years and we hold all the aces. A great position to be in.

    We're in a position of strength and I believe our board is smart enough to at least get that figure up to £30 million. He's on a 4 year contract, he's only 20 years old, he's already scored in the champions league, scoring goals for the french under 21's, has guys like zidane raving about him, easily one of the most talented strikers is in his age group and has all the attributes to be massive in the future, to sell now before any of the big clubs have even came in with an offer would be crazy.

    What's the deal with the £3m *? Somecunt in work told me we were offered £3m. We were in stitches, wouldn't even sell them a signed picture of him for that.

    Now on here, it's £20m?

    Genuinely hope he stays at least one more season. Unreal player and we haven't even untapped the entire potential of him yet.
