Leon Osman is a pretty decent comparison, actually, good shout. He's pretty perfect to stay here as a back-up midfielder for Rodgers system.

Bitton's only chance to take a spot in the team was in the holding role, which it's safe to say Scott Brown has nailed down. Rogic, Armstrong and McGregor are all ahead of him, and you could argue that Henderson and Christie are more what Rodgers is looking for from his midfield players.

I agree with all of that and Leon Osman is a good comparison I think too.
On reflection I think Christie would have been a good bet in that game too yesterday, he is like a little all action dynamo.
In saying that, Bitton almost scored with one deflected shot during the game if I remember right.

I know it's an old-fashioned way of looking at it, but Christie needs to toughen up before he becomes a regular here. In games like yesterday where you have to win the battle before you can play your football, he'd have been a bit lost, I think.

Maybe. But some of these wee slight guys make up for it by being as hard as nails.
I think Christie would have relished that game yesterday. He would have drawn fouls from Halliday, Holt & Co.

Thought he would have a good game. Some nice passes but never made many tackles n looked a bot lost at times.

Think he's improved a lot this season. Very tidy midfielder.

Done well, was worried about our chances of scoring when I seen no Armstrong or striker but he drifted in well to get the goal and settle us.

Still doesn't do enough for me. Seems to hide a lot and is happy to run along side their players, rather than go looking for the ball.

I'd always give Henderson the nod over him

He seems to divide opinion quite a lot. I think he's quality. Just needs to take the game by the scruff of the neck a bit more.

It's a boring cliche but if he was a 23 year old Italian or German I think we'd be rating him higher than what we currently do.

Constantly twists my opinion on him.

Still in the camp of him being a good squad player to have for situations like today.
