He's turned down the contract offer from Hull, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Celtic by the end of the season, would be a great signing!

    Get it done!

Even if it didn't work out and he found himself as a squad player, would still be able to punt him in 6 months to a years time and make the money back. Championship, and lower Prem teams, will lap that * up all day long!

Could see him adapting to playing alongside Brown no bother, in the #10, out wide, through the middle and even an emergency full back.

Lack of pace shouldn't be a worry, perfect replacement for Commons with all the added energy that Commons perhaps lacks.

Think he's got great versatility, could be our version of Kev Grobkreutz.

I don't have an opinion on him either way as I haven't really noticed him doing anything spectacular.

Who would he replace if we bought him?

Sounds like he would love to come here and because it's a free transfer you'd imagine Brendan would be interested?

Only thing I could see blocking it would be either Brendan thinking we don't need him or the wages he'll be offered by EPL sides.

Would imagine we would get him in for when Paddy returns to City. As ourdaywillcome said he can be played in many positions so can see it happening. We need someone who can whip in a good set piece.

Aye we definitely could do with a good corner kick and free kick taker. If he would be able to fill the position left by Paddy does he have the skills to create something out of nothing like Paddy using skilful ball control?

It is good that he can play many positions because those types of players are essential when rotating a squad due to a congested fixture list.

My only concern is he's never got me over excited. He's more of a utility player than imaginative one?

I've wanted him here for ages but now I'm not sure where he fits. He's slow for a winger so wouldn't suit that position in our system. He could play behind the striker but we have Rogic and Christie who deserves a shot.

I reckon he could be converted to a box to box midfielder, like Armstrong. That might suit him.

In any case, if he's available on a free then bring him home.

I've had enough of this "He's too slow" rubbish. He's a class player, and he's a Scottish Celtic supporter. Get him in.

One of the best set piece takers in the EPL and would comfortably be the best up here. That alone would create another dozen goals a season .

    ---------------Rogic------------
    Sinclair ------------------- Snodgrass
    -------- McCarthy Brown -----

Wouldn't be that bad a midfield.........

I wouldn't judge Snoddy on the last few months as previous long injury layoff and recent ankle knock not allowed him a good run of games. Has been outstanding previously and will kick on in 2nd period of season come January, be it at Hull or another club.

Only concern may possibly be picking up 1-2 injuries to many of late and would it be one that BR would press the button on as would come with a high salary of which you don't want 'key salary range' out injured.

Wonder how many would prefer Forrest in there, but can he be trusted long term or his purple patch to fade off?

Aye that's true about judging him post injury..

Think he's Hull's top scorer but I've definitely seen a better Snoddy in previous year's. Been poor for Scotland recently as well and I've never said that..

I'd take him on a free without a shadow of doubt. A left footed goal threat from open play and dead ball who has very good link up play when cutting in. He's approaching 30 now and his contract is running down. We're riding our own wave and if he signs another contract elsewhere, he'll never get his dream of playing for Celtic. He must know that?

I can see him eventually playing the 10 role as the little pace he has, goes..

We do have good options ourselves at the minute though..

Would take snodgrass on a free. More so than McCarthy. Would make more financial sense at least.

Not feeling the excitement about Snodgrass. Hope we look elsewhere.
