Saw a deid squirrel, squashed by what could only be a vehicle of some sort. Flat as *, deid.

Approx 10 mins later I passed the same spot, and the squirrel was gone.

    At it?

In November in the cold, nothing lasts long. Foxes, crows and magpies, or even a Buzzard will have it in a second.
Crows in particular are very adept at dodging oncoming traffic. * geniuses at times!!

ha ha don't know 100% if it's one of the same ones a see, would be nice in a way if it wasn't cause that might mean that there's more of them, and there must be up and down other areas of the canal, as a said they were fashionable pets when a was young but as they gave a bit of a sore nip kids a knew ended up throwing them in the canal, am amazed they've adapted and on my days off in spring and summer a always go out of my way on a sunny day to walk along the canal to see them as they've sunned themselves on the very same branch for years, am very fond of them :52:

I had a day out with my Boxer * Jasmine near Prestatyn in North Wales, she loved the vast beach and sand dunes,on the whole pretty quiet but i did find 3 cool Snow Buntings,a neat flock of 22 feeding Black Tailed Godwit and a loan Kestrel.
On the way back i think i saw 5 Waxwing from the Bus but i cannot be sure they were a long way off and i could not get a decent view, dam it!!! Double Dam it!!

Coming home from Tesco near Rutherglen , I was watching a Kestrel hovering. One of nature's great sights, I think, then my wife said "look". I looked round and saw a murmuration of Starlings. Not seen one in years. Superb. Definitely took my mind off being in Tesco

I saw a few deer with those big * antlers, and two birds that might've been buzzards (they made a really cool noise when flying about). Also some grouse and the local peacock.

In the carpark this morning at the Forge Retail Centre and about 50 WAXWINGS flew over our heads. My wife and son were looking at my daughter and I as if we were crazy as we high 5'd and stood and watch as they flew about before landing in a tree that was a wee bit away from us. What a morning. WAXWINGS. Superb

Not questioning you mate, but quite unusual to see an eagle in such a built up area.....maybe not a buzzard? Still huge birds close up with an imposing wingspan.

Here is a pic of one being mobbed by a crow, for size comparison.

If you pop your head up and scare it every day for a while, it will bolt. Unless of course you can deal with it being there for the winter.

I would try and chase it myself, as it could start to chew things if the winter gets harsh. ie, electrical cables!!! Been a relatively mild winter so far, so im sure it will get to March in one piece!!!
