    I'd say it's a penalty tbh.

Never analysed it to the degree of he threw his leg looking for it, etc but at the time I was expecting a red and a free kick given. Would be raging if the shoe was on the other foot and we weren't given anything. Did think on the replay it looked like Erik tried to back up to avoid contact.

I watched the replay a couple of times and couldn't quite work out what happened.

His leg did move out to the right, but his body wasn't shaped to shoot.

It does look an odd incident. I can see why it would be called a foul, equally I can see why the ref couldn't call it either a foul or a dive.

Foul comfortably ahead in the poll, thought it was fairly obvious myself.

I would say this if it was a Celtic player but never a penalty. Guy trailed his leg then fell. Chris Sutton was covering for Craigan on the commentary and was obliged to call it a pen.

Don't let these * wits tell you what's fact and what's fiction. Never a penalty at least not in old money.

And take into account were on a celtic forum so the results will be skewed the other way.

    Foul.

If that happened to Celtic I'd be furious. Inverness have every right to feel hard done by.

I agree however if that was at ibrox against the scum, that would have been a penalty:31:

Watching it again on TV, I'm sticking by my original opinion.

He wasn't in the act of shooting. He put his right leg out wide and his left leg wasn't moving forward to continue his stride. He was always going to go down.

He was hit, but only as he slowed up.

Not a penalty for me. Erik isn't even attempting a challenge yet. Draper stops up, draws contact on purpose, not alot Erik can do there. Think thats fine to wave play on.

I honestly don't know if my specs are tinted a shade too green, but it looks like it's the ICT player fouling Erik to me.

Watching that again it seems a clear penalty to me. 20 years ago probably not, but in the modern game I think it is.

However I don't think it's a red as it doesn't seem deliberate. Their player has a bad touch that takes it into Sviatchenko's path and at that speed, I don't think Erik can avoid the contact.

I think it is a penalty and a clear red. I have to be honest about it.
I wonder what will happen here. Retrospection ?

I don't think Erik could have avoided that collision, they are running flat out and you can clearly see their player changes direction suddenly. A red card would have been very harsh.
