I think against Hapoel we got caught in two minds. Weren't sure wether to shut up shop or go for it , and ended up doing neither. I don't think that will happen tonight

Just watched highlights of when they beat us 6-1 and got really upset. Then I watched the 40 minute highlights from Saturday and I'm thinking let's go pump this lot 3-1 :smiley-laughing002:

Normally, this matchup is fairly even owing to Celtic's style & penchant for willing a heroic performance. But after the anemic loss this weekend, I expect quite a performance from Barcelona tonight

    Good luck!

They have better players than us. I don't follow football other than Celtic anymore, but unless there has been a serious decline in German football (which I see no sign of TBH) the entire top half of the Bundesliga has better players than us, let alone the team that finished 4th.

That's not saying we shouldn't be good enough to have a go, just that it's certainly not "unacceptable" to fail.

It's a bonus to be here just hope the players give a good account of there selves but I have a feeling we might actually do something over there... Just something inside me that thinks we might give them a decent game

Maybe hope more than expectations but the players have no pressure on them go and enjoy it, 33/1 outsiders but thought the bookies would have more respect than that

I don't really get all the hating on Man City in this post. They always seemed a nice enough club to me. They were never enormous, but they were a medium-sized club by English standards i.e. massive in Scottish terms (roughly the size of Rangers), hardly a nothing club like you are making out and I always find their fans less likely than most English fans to believe some of the media crap about us.

Personally I wouldn't wish what happened to them on my worst enemy, but that's another story.

This match up is never even, under any circumstances. Even the 2-1 game at Parkhead wasn't 'even'. It was all Barca all night and bravery and fortune won Celtic the game.

It is David v Goliath in every aspect.

The team we had then was in a different stratosphere to our current one.

I'll be happy if we give a decent account of ourselves and learn from the game, improve our sharpness to European levels and avoid any red cards ready for the next games.

    De Vries
    Gamboa Lustig Toure Sviatchenko Tierney
    Broony Bitton Armstrong
    Sinclair
    Dembele

Our best team for this IMO and I think that's also roughly what Devlin posted. 5-2 to Barça.

I just hope we don't give these guys to much respect and I hope the players take it serioisly. Business point of view it doesn't matter we have pocketed the money, but fans want to see football and players want to increase their own value. I hope they give it there all.

Don't care if we are pumped 5 nill but as long as they try there best and not sit back.

All logic says we'll be destroyed, but I've suddenly found myself hopelessly optimistic. No idea why.

I literally don't care what happens as long as we score, or try incredibly hard, to score at least one.

Even at our worst we've scored I think every time we went to the Camp Nou, except that epic David Marshall game.

Genuinely no fear. If we get pumped 8-0 it doesn't matter, but anything at all we get will be a huge bonus and I really think we may come away with a draw tonight.

That's what I was alluding to really, despite mammoth differences Celtic always give a great account of themselves.

Tonight though, I expect something different but we'll see
