A draw is about as good as we can expect Barca to get I feel.

 

Young fearless players. Old heads who have been here a million times before.

An almost perfect start to the season, beaten all our perceived rivals so far and qualified for the summit of club football.

Bet you Lawwell's in business class and they're all in economy and Bitton and Lustig had to pay for the extra leg room seats with their own money.

 

Wasn't happy with the draw at the time, but now it approaches I'm buzzing for it. Couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. Nobody expects anything except 100% effort. Just go out and give it your best lads. Nothing to lose.

 

Closest for me was the 6-1 away from home(Sammy scored a header) and to a certain extent even the 2-1 win, I felt we were quite negative. We struggled to play ourselves out from defensive positions.

I understand they have better quality.

Previous point was just a personal preference.

 

I'm not entirely sure why, but I think we're getting a result tomorrow. Barcelona never get an easy ride against Celtic.

I'll just enjoy it. Nobody expects us to get anything, so Rodgers and the players should just go out and learn from the experience and try to give a good account of themselves.

If we get a result, brilliant, but there's no drama if we don't.

It's important we keep the ball on the rare occasions we get it back, so Bitton and Rogic have to start, I think.

It's important we keep it tight early on and stay in the game for as long as possible. If we can frustrate them, then we can start introducing pace off the bench when the game is stretched.

 

It's going to happen, if we try and press too high they will rip us apart in the middle, sit too deep then it will be similar to Beer Sheva in not seeing enough of the ball so being far too wasteful and inviting pressure on.
Flooding the midfield and letting them play out wide is the best tactic that works against them, just try and frustrate them and hope they have a bad night in front of goal.
Then we need to make sure we are clinical with our chances on the counter and set pieces.
Never going to be an easy game to watch.

Aye, I can mind Lenny saying we set up to try and have a go at them, the biggest problem is they don't let you.

They get the ball, pin you back, pass you to death, make you run until you feel your legs are going to drop off and are ruthless as you tire.

And that's before you throw in just how ridiculously talented they are and the goals they can get out of absolutely nowhere.

 

Anybody notice gordon in any the pics, or any word he has not went over, could of swore i drove past him today.

I was thinking a 5-4-1, too, but couldn't decide on which players to put where.

 

Aye, the only way I can see of getting at Barca is pace in behind the high line and bullying them physically at set pieces. That's what we can do.

Their is every chance of us getting pumped here, there's no shame in it either, it's * Barcelona. We need to do ourselves proud though.

 

We'll pump them.

Barca as usual will give us loads of respect, pass it around aimlessly for ahwile and we'll * them on a couple counters.

3-2 the hoops.

 

Don't think we're going to be as defensive as most think. We have too much quality in attack to park the bus. I fancy us to get a goal anyway, we have plenty of pace on the break.
