I've stuck £50 on us scoring at 11/8. Seems decent value for a goal, can't see us winning but no shame in that as long as we don't get horsed

That's brave. I couldn't risk 50 quid on a goal in the nou camp, even if there defence is shaky. Even getting horsed by barca is no shame. I'm sure we won't be the only team in our group to get horsed by them, and that's saying something in our group.

As I'm a celtic fan though, 1-0 celtic. Dembele 91st minute.

He means they sneaked an early one then parked the bus and set it on fire.

Tactical genius that he is ( turned down Celtic ? We dodged a bullet more like )

When I heard that Barca just got beaten I initially thought it would be good for us... I changed my mind when I realised messi and Suarez weren't on from the start.

My * is squeeking already !

It's my new way of betting, pick out what I think is a value bet around even money or less and stick £50 on it. Not everyday but teams away in the champions league are good value for a goal, won a few bucks in the qualifiers with it.

Be my team as well, only concern would be them getting 2-on-1 down the flanks, but that could be the plan. Let them throw balls into the box all day long and hope the back 3 can deal with it.

Dembele/Sinclair to play on their high line and hope for a Tony Watt like moment in behind.

Wouldn't even be that bothered with having O'Connell being brought back in, with Lustig going to wing back.

Either way it will be good to have some decent height with guys like Toure, Lustig, Erik, Bitton, Armstrong, Dembele for any set-pieces we might get.

We definitely need a back 5 for me too, but if Rodgers were going to do that, surely Gamboa would have at least got half an hour on Saturday? Bit of a big ask to have your first game against Barça at the Nou Camp!

Risky putting Gamboa in at a game where communication is paramount. Does he know his teammates well enough to get thrown in a the Nou Camp?

    We could also play:

    LUSTIG....KOLO...ERIK...EOGHAN...KT

Massive test for us on Tuesday night, probably the most difficult tie you would get in the tournament.

I hate sitting back and being "hard to beat" or "park the bus". Drives me daft when watching games and teams do it. I think I'll be watching something similar on Tuesday night. I just hope we don't sit in all night and can actually play some football going forward.

I agree that the formation will be a 4-5-1 or some sort of variation. Looking for the players to stand up and show the quality we have, give it a good go and see what we can take from it. Alaves bloodied the Barcelona noses on Saturday, my biggest fear is we're the ones who get it with both barrels as a result.

CD: "We are in a good place. We had a fantastic victory at the weekend which we thoroughly deserved.

CD: "Everyone’s happy, everyone’s looking forward to this and we’ve worked hard for this game on Tuesday.

CD: "Brown is in the squad and it’s a boost because at the weekend he was fantastic.

CD: "He’s [Scott Brown] been fantastic since we got here and we’re going to need him.

CD: "This is the top level. For players, coaches, managers, this is where you want to be. We earned the right to be here.

CD: "The players deserve it, the fans deserve it and so does the club.

Rather than speculate ...I think I'll genuinely trust in Brendan to put out the team he thinks will work... And to change it when needed. There was a bit of a collective groan that could be heard (round the world) when he put Armstrong on on Saturday .

Who thought he'd come running on carrying the icing bag and candles?

There is quite the bromance brewing between KT and Paddy.

Armstrong and GMS must be beeling, a new couple is in town. :smiley-laughing002:

Have we ever just sat back in any game? Even games against Barca in the past we have usually scored and made a decent fist of it.

Better teams than us get penned in by them. As long as we do ourselves justice I will be happy.

I love how people say they hate teams that park the bus against barca... tell the * to give us a shot of the ball and we won't :56:
