Have an interview tomorrow afternoon for a 2 year posting away from my current position if successful.
Have done all my research into what the post entails and took some notes in a wee notebook I was going to take in just to act as a prompt for any of the questions I may get asked, apart from the usual HR type questions.
Anyone else ever done anything like this?
I did it for a previous interview and the interviewers were ok with it-my thinking is it shows that I have made an effort to find out more beforehand.
    Any thoughts?

Wee guy brought a notepad of questions into an interview I was doing for an Apprenticeship and I was impressed.

Showed they'd put in research, had a genuine interest and weren't just padding out the interview with clichéd nonsense like most interviews end up becoming as you go through the motions.

I'd definitely take it in. Only other advice I'd give is smile and keep the conversation going.

No seriously, always keep eye contact and as said smile. Be prepared for a left field question like what is your Weakest attribute. They like to hear the negative being used as a positive. And always shake hands and say something nice before you leave. Makes an impression.

When you take your notepad in ask permission to use them.
You don't need to but it shows respect.

Have an open body posture, sit up straight, smile and project your confidence to them. Do your best to sound enthusiastic about the position.

Make sure you tuck your * in. Other than that, I'm pretty useless because I've never had an interview.

I always * interviews up if I do a lot of preparation for them. I think I just make myself nervous if I sit and think of all the questions they could ask me.

I find I do much better if I go in and just be myself, speak confidently and let my answers come naturally.

If you have all the experience and the attitude that they're looking for you shouldn't need more than 30 mins preparation. Just make a wee list of reasons why you're right for the job and examples you can use to show them.
