Even though that was what was wanted, it never actually occurred to me.

But now come to think of it I make you right.

    Massive opportunity missed

Lennon's stock must be very low at the moment in the general football world though , he has just led Bolton to relegation ( irregardless of the mitigating circumstances , the fact still remains ). He left Celtic with a good reputation and Bolton was a fairly modest job for him to take imo at that time and it obviously hasn't went very well ( worst defensive record in championship , relegated ). Now he would struggle to get another championship gig . Imo Lenny would be very interested in coming back here .

If we had a more credible challenge I would be very worried. I think the sheep will make it easy for us and another 3 points should see us over the line.

Aye that's true. We do need someone experienced.

Would someone like Lucien Favre be seen as a risk though?

Telling me to calm down ya * clown..
We just got papped out of the Scottish cup by a bunch of neanderthal * who have been playing part timers all * season and struggling with it.
We got papped out of the * league cup by one of the teams that we still have to face in the league, a team that also beat us in the league so don't try and tell me to * calm down.

If Boro don't go up then we should go for Aitor Karanka

I think the sheep will * it up, i hope.
Absolutely no confidence in our team at the moment to come back if the worst were to happen and we lose our first game of the post split especially if the sheep win their first couple of games.

Technically anyone we appoint will be a risk, mate. Just like any transfer of any player really.

He'd be less of a risk on paper though because of his record and reputation. However I can't see him as a realistic option.

Ah right got it the wrong way round there.

One who I think is more realistic, coming from a German background...Thomas Schaff.

Aye I'll forgive him 12 games.

He'd demand respect and has a bit of character about him. I'm sure his Bremen side played good football as well.

I meant hypothetically. I would love MON back. He has shown with Ireland what he can do with an below average bunch of players and the results against Germany are just the kind of stuff we would like to see replicated in the CL.

    Edit:Just seen above post:celt_2:

Mon was blessed with the best Celtic squad of my lifetime
He was shocking at Sunderland with average players
He's at the age now we're international is good for him less stress and keano runs the training

Same age as Claudio Ranieri who has recently left international football to go to Leicester.
