Just phone them up and tell them you want to cancel your contract and they'll offer you a better deal.

Hopefully the beginning of the end for the silly premiership tv money. We should have kodi on the front of our strips from next season.

I've done it 3 times now. You need to be prepared with numbers when you go on the phone.

You can get Virgin, they're cheaper by 'X' amount and you're going to be moving. You also have to make sure you're talking to retentions.

They have the ability to add deals and % off at the click of a button.

Sky seem to be losing exclusive content yet are still raising the prices. Absolute joke.

I'm paying £77 a month right now. Going to cancel with them and refuse any offer to lower my bill. Crooks who give *-all back to the Scottish Game in terms of TV money.

I really hope sky get *.

Make at least £150m a year from Scottish football - closer to £200m and give us a pittance back.

Losing the rights to everything. The only good things about it it are sky one an Sky Atlantic, which you can get on Virgin.

Its a disgrace what they pay for Scottish football. The average English game only gets something like 7x the viewers of an SPL game but they pay something like 120x the money for the EPL rights.

Barclays pulled out their sponsorship of the EPL because they believed the money situation was out of control now.

They never found another sponsor so that's why the have the * generic multi-coloured logo now. :smiley-laughing002:

The bubble is (slowly) bursting. Snails pace though.

Hopefully in the future a company like Youtube will buy up the TV rights of most football Leagues/competitions and you'll just go onto Youtube Sport or whatever pay £10 a month and they will have all football every game from every League and pay the Leagues/teams fairly on whatever viewers they get. So if the EPL games average 15million viewers a game and the SPL average 150,000 a game then it would be fair they get paid 15x the money.

The future of broadcasting is IP, in whatever format. Facebook have already made a play for the NFL and Yahoo already streamed a game last year that got allsorts of viewers.

There's issues to overcome first though for things like that like advertising. Simply transferring the product you get on telly through a Social Media platform isn't going to work.

Aye, in a decade or two I imagine Twitter, Youtube/Google, Apple and Facebook, Netflix or whoever could combine together to take over all online streaming of everything worldwide and then just charge a subscription for it like people would probably be happy to pay £15 a month to see TV shows, £15 a month to see films, £15 a month to hear music and £15 a month to see Sport, £60 a month with access to everything you want to see/hear and advertising would be done the American Sport on TV way for live things where it comes up on screen or things are advertised around the screen.

Who knows though but everything will eventually be done over the internet for sure and those big companies are most likely to monopolise it.
