    Think that is it.

Id happily sign him. If he is scouted properly and not really up to scratch, fair play.

But, this is the sort of player we should be aiming for. A decent age and played in Europe for a decent team, cost 3-5million and on a fair wage.

If it isn't to be this guy, then so be it, go after the next one, but of this calibre.

It would fit our transfer policy. He's never been a prolific goalscorer in his puff. £2.5million? Carlton COle can do the same job.

2 goals in 15 games this season.
7 in 27 games last season
10 in 30 league games season before that.

Never scored in the Champions' League in 11 games

3 goals in 11 in the Europa, all against Bate Barisov.

So Bate Barisov are the only team in Europe he's been able to score against.

Aye sign him up. Especially as he's quite different to Carlton Cole, not. And Cole had a good game yesterday.

That being said, he's also * at taking penalty kicks. I wonder how many of his goals were pens.

Not worth worrying about. At the price they're looking for i'd expect it would be one of those loan deals.

Doesn't mean much in his case.

From what I can tell the Ajax fans ripped the pish a bit with him(see video above)..

I know what you are saying though, we should be aiming at players with his kind of experience...just not him...IMO.

Yeah, its hard to pick the next one - im unfortunately not a professional scout! But the player before him was finnbo. Again hindsight says not the right option perhaps, but thats the sort of calibre. Even Pukki was around the right idea of player to aim for. Balde and bangura on the other hand were not. And we seem to actualy sign more of the calibre of the later two than of Pukki, finnbo, sigporsen.

Jan venegoor was a correct call. Age and experience of playing at a similar level club and played in Europe. Not a project or random risk/throw of the dice and hope for a profit.

I mind few years back we got linked with huntelaar as well, at that time before he hit it big, could have cost a few million, but we didn't take the easy risk.
Berbatov under the mon years as well. Think our board refused to pay a further 500k and walked away from the deal. All the sort of player/calibre we should go for.

He has talent, and is young, at think at his age he is worth a shot but we need to get the price down

"The latest word from reports in France is that Turkish giants Galatasray and Belgian side Genk have both made enquiries about the 25-year-old, who would be available for a fee of around £2.5m having failed to settle with the French club."

In fairness to him, looks like he can score a header.

Icelandic striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson could be set for a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The 25-year-old, who has struggled since making a £3 million move to French Ligue One side Nantes, is reported in today’s Turkish press as wanting a switch to the Süper Lig with his representative’s in Turkey quoted as saying:
“Sigthorsson, wants to come to Galatasaray. It could also be that he is loaned until the end of the season.
