We have been trying to fix the middle east since the very first crusade and yet we have still learned * all.
The west needs to wide its neck in and let them sort their own mess.

it needs fixing since we * it.
I just don't think we should try and fix it any more as we will only * it further.

But in all your arguing against the bombing of ISIS camps in Syria you have provided zero alternatives which is tandamount to just letting them get on with it.

And it has * all to do with revenge.

I've stated a viable alternative numerous times - cut-off the money and arms supply.

You've ignored the question I've repeatedly asked you - can you build a case that 'this time will be different' with regards to carpet bombing another midde-eastern country? Can you honestly say that it won't play right into their hands as far as recruiting and radicalising European Muslims goes?

The reason I say it has everything to do with revenge, is because no one that supports bombing has actually come out and answered these questions. They haven't addressed why it would make our citizens safer, or those in Syria.

They are already well armed and have enough backers in the oil rich nations that its not really as simple as cutting off their supplies. They will always get funds from the Saudi's.

I think The West should stop having relations with the Saudi's anyway as their human rights is so * that we should cut them out of all international business. But that won't affect ISIS much. They will still have their rich backers.

And there is a stark difference between carpet bombing a nation and bombing ISIS camps and military training sites within a nation.

How has it got anything to do with revenge when we have hundreds of thousands of people fleeing a country because there is a regime so evil within it that they are systematically killing off their own people. ISIS is such a hated force within the Muslim world right now that for once the Muslim countries would actually support our interference as it is them that is under the most threat from ISIS.

Removing ISIS from having a large and ever expanding foothold in one nation weakens them. That is better for everyone, be it Syrian, Iraqi or European.

Best estimates give the amount of civilian dead at 88k, with the combatant dead propping up the figure to 230k (1/2), now compare this to the Iraq war where the rate of civilians to combatants was 4/1 or Gaza 100/1, its a media myth that says Assad is systematically killing his own people, and thats why the vast majority of Syrains support their govt.

Angus, this thread has * all to do with who's supporting Assad, it's about the terror attacks in Paris and ISIS.

You've already got multiple threads in HP&R where you're pushing your Russian propaganda, so keep that chat there.

Wouldn't it be great if we just got everyone who wanted to fight drop them 1 by 1 on and island and only give them swords and let them just all die and the rest of us can live normally
