Like someone said earlier, I don't believe he is a legend in terms of footballing ability like some others who could be mentioned, although thought he did a great job for us though, neither do I think he is a great manager, but he gave us great service and went through a heck of a lot.

Not a footballing legend, but a Celtic legend, yes. (if that makes sense, lol).

Really surprised some people don't rate Lennon particularly highly as a manager. He took over the worst Celtic team in my lifetime, regained the balance of power from what was a pretty handy rangers side, made us a boatload of cash in player sales and CL appearances and gave us one of the most amazing European nights in our history. Was it perfect? No. We could've done better in the cup competitions. Otherwise he was an excellent Celtic manager.

    Yes.

He is in the bracket just below Larsson, Stein and McNeill.

These two post sum it up for me. Definitely a Celtic legend but fr a multitude of reasons taken together rather than excelling in one aspect like Larsson.

How could he not be? He's done almost everything here. Captain, won league titles, won cups, been brilliant vs THEM, a great manager, part of Seville, etc.

was at a game as a guest in the posh seats and afterwards in the function suite he was there as a meet and greet ( wasn,t playing because of injury I think ) and gave the impression he couldn't be bothered to be there , Caesar was there and took him aside and his demeanour changed dramatically . Typing this and thinking of his other problems mibby I,ll change my mind but as a player and especially as manager a total legend .

Tbo he wasn't the best manager or player but what he went through as a man made him a Celtic legend.

I really don't get people who don't think he was a good manager for us.

Record points in the Champions League group stage, record amount of goals as well while we were 4th seeds in one of the headest groups we've ever had. That was in his 3rd season after taking over one of the worst ever Celtic teams.

I loved in his time in charge here, one of my favourite ever Celtic managers. In my top two favourite players ever. Love the man. He is without doubt a legend in ever sense of the word.

Legend means putting him in the same bracket as Jock Stein, Tommy Burns, Henrik Larsson, Billy McNeill, Dan McGrain etc.

Lennon can't be seen as a legend because in my eyes he is our third best manager since the millennium out of a possible 4 (I reserve my judgement with Ronnie Deila just now). As a footballer, he wasn't exactly a standout in our fantastic UEFA Cup team. Good player but not legendary.

Personally, I don't think it is fair to put Lennon in the same bracket as Stein, Burns, McGrain.

    Yes.

As a player was a standout in a very good team, even if limited in ability, he more than made up for it with his commitment and talismanic passion for the club. Was a key part of the team that was responsible for the club's most successful run in europe this century and went on to be captain.

Then he became manager, albeit his managerial reign was during a rather odd time in our history, but nevertheless, he did match our most successful achievement in the Champs league and brought in some serious talent...and Pukki.

Pukki aside, few people have had a larger impact on Celtic in the recent decades and he deserves the accolade of Legend.

Pukki is actually quite good he's just a wee whimp who has no guts nor drive it seems.

Lifeless and not driven. Didn't hack it at Celtic but there is talent there.

    Yes..

You don't appreciate a player like Lenny untill he's gone. He was excellent for us and in the role of protecting the back four..

Funnily enough the other day I was watching Lambert doing his best 11 and he said it'll be a surprise to some or many but Lenny would be in his side, every time..
