    64.300 Olympiacos
    42.060 Salzburg
    41.965 Viktoria Plzen
    39.310 Celtic
36.526 Steaua Bucharest (already out Europe probably) :icon_mrgreen:
    -------------------------------ABOVE THIS LINE SEEDED--------------------------------
    35.835 APOEL Nicosia
    32.300 PAOK Thessaloniki
    29.700 BATE Borisov
    26.050 Legia Warsaw
    25.625 Ludogorets
    24.295 Copenhagen
    23.935 Sparta Prague
    23.675 Dinamo Zagreb
    21.625 Maribor
    20.225 Maccabi Tel-Aviv

Other teams not even worth talking about Rapid Vienna, Malmo, Cluj, Slovan Liberic who are nowhere near us in coefficient.

Thats the current standings of the CL Champions Route possible teams next season.

As long as we are in the Top 5 we are definite seeded next season.

So we are safe and definitely seeded next season. Steaua can't overtake us, APOEL might, PAOK it doesnt matter as if they make it Olympiacos won't and BATE will never overtake us they need 10 points more than us - more chance of Sevco winning the Champions League this season than that.

Also if the Europa League and Champions League winners have already qualified for the Champions League then the Greek Champions will also automatically qualify so everyone will be bumped up a place.

*I know a year early but always good to know, stops speculation and nonsence being spoken.

    Nice one.

Do we still join in at the 2nd qualifying stage?

Aye we will always be in that round every single year, thatll most likely never change.

Means we will be seeded in every round of the qualifiers.

Theres a good chance we might actually be the highest ranked seeded team. As I think Sparta Prague will win the Czech League, so Plzen wont be above us, the EL winners might already have qualified for the CL which will mean Olympiacos arent in it. And Rapid Vienna are probably favourites for the Austrian League which means Salzburg wont be in it.

It wont make much difference if we are or not, as long as we're seeded its a bonus but if we are essentially the "best" seeded team then it means more difficult teams who wouldnt have been seeded will also be so we'll avoid playing them.

It'll always be the playoff stage where it'll get really tricky. All champions of leagues similar to ours. If we go out in the other rounds, I'd be truly shocked.

The main objective I think is always just to get through the first 2 as if you get through those ties then you are guarenteed Group Stage football which is what we always want then its usually a 50/50 game against a decent team to see if we can make the Champions League.

It would be a nightmare to get knocked out in the 2nd round which is always dodgy as we've met teams like Elfsborg, HJK Helsinki, Qarabag and Legia in that round who are all decent teams. (All of those teams actually went on to qualify for the Europa League after we knocked them out showing how decent they are as its quite difficult to qualify for it as we see when Aberdeen, Motherwell etc get horsed out every year).

Its probably harder to qualify for the Europa League than it is Champions League as in the EL qualifying we could face Dutch and Portuguese etc teams.

cant tell if this is serious but we shouldnt be having too much problem in those 6 games, and if you think it is hard task, every other scottish team has atleast 6games to qualify for the europa league and will have to beat better teams than malmo to do it, so we cant moan at them for holding back the coefficient or whatever

Why are Olympiacos (or Greek team) in the qualifying?

The Greek League slipped down the rankings and was overtook by the Swiss.

In a couple of year the Dutch Champions will probably in our qualifying side too as the Dutch League is collapsing down the rankings.
