We're still lacking the one or two quality players that would make progressing beyond the group stages a possibility.

I believe our current squad is good enough to get through these qualifiers, but there's still every possibility that we would get pumped if we came up against a side with five or six really good players in their squad in the group stages.

The likes of Panathinaikos or Basel would give us a good run for our money right now. We're probably on the same level as them, quality wise.

We would have no chance against the likes of Chelsea; they would steamroller us with our current crop of players.

If we get through the qualifiers, Deila needs to be given money to spend in time for the group games kicking off. A quality striker and another quality centre back is needed, in my opinion.

Not see the game but how was Cifti? Did he do anything to merit starting ahead of Griffiths?

No. He worked hard but nothing came off for him. Should have done better when presented with a decent chance but struck it tamely to the keeper.

    It's 5.30 mate.

Quality atmosphere last night. The JCGE after we scored was top-drawer.

Completely disagree. Ciftci was taken on 2/3 defenders at a time. I couldnt imagine leigh doing it. Unfortunaletly this was mainly outside the box. When in the box, the balls being delivered to him were so poor.

next week will be a far more open game, they need an early goal so they wont be parking the bus again which will allow us to get in behind them.

    hopefully

Thought it was a decent performance last night. They came to sit back, not concede and hit us on the break. They're clearly a decent outfit and can pass the ball well but they never really caused us problems. We controlled the game and deserved the goal and the win.

Though Bitton and VVD were a class above the rest of the team last night. Brown had a mare and should have been subbed instead of Bitton.

Griffiths needs to start next week, as much as Ciftci done okay coming short and linking play he's not providing much of a goal threat.

Next weeks game will be completely different, they will need to come out and there will be space in behind. Expect us to score.

King Kenny and Henrik. Proud to have seen them both play.
Only one team wanted to win that match. Yeah, they looked tidy in possession but it never felt like we were in any danger. Just need to get sharper and quicker. Quietly confident.

I hope we don't sit back and hope for a clean sheet next week.

One away goal should be enough.

Good result, but we were poor going forward. I expected more from GMS. Maybe Deila should have swapped him over to the left earlier and got him running for the byline more.

We looked solid at the back. I'm reluctant to say we should sit back and invite pressure when we go over there. I think we should play a similarly cautious game but play for set pieces. Instead of cutting in our wingers should work the ball to the byline and get crosses and corners.
