Hooper had a 1 in 2 record for us in Europe did he not? Or very close to it?

7 goals in 19 apps in Europe is no bad going.

Scored Helsinki, Helsinborg and Spartak Moscow x2, Rennes and Udinese and Braga.

Some good clubs, but once were past the smaller clubs in the qualifiers wel be back to playing him upfront himself and he's not comfortable in it, hes a good 20 goals a season SPL player but I don't think he's the answer for Europe

He was playing up top himself in most of the games you have just mentioned though, so he has shown he is capable of doing it. He is far better than any option we currently have on our books. I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion he isn't the answer for Europe, when he has already proven he is good enough to score goals for us in Europe. He has a lot more to his game than scoring goals as well.

Has everyone forgotten that before Hooper left he was demanding 25k a week or he would leave, stropping about the pitch half arsed to force a transfer? how much would a newly promoted Norwich want for him anyway, Alex Neil knows how important he was for us and how we have missed him since he left

We could pay a transfer and large wages for the same thing we had two years ago :39:

He wasn't demanding anything, he was just leaving. He was never going to sign a new contract.

His last season was his best season for us as well, so I'd take a striker scoring over 30 goals in a season and setting up double figures in a strop, imagine a fully motivated one eh?

He was leaving when we were beating Barcelona and in the Last 16 of the Champions league, League was won and he had a good shot at the England Squad, how more motivated could he get?

Is there anything behind him coming to us or is it just rumours? find it strange that since hes been promoted with Norwich he would suddenly want to come back here

He continually improved on how many he scored each season for us. Not bad for a player that was "half arsed" as you put it.

A report in today's Daily Star suggests that Bruce has rubbished the recent £12m evaluation – stating the Tigers want more than 2.5 times that amount for Robertson, who made 24 appearances last term.
Bruce said: "Luke Shaw went from Southampton to Manchester United after just one season in the top flight for £30m, and I rate Andy on a par with him as a young player with bags of ability and potential.
"We have already had calls from clubs asking to be kept informed about his situation, and it might become inevitable that he goes.
"I've heard people talking about it taking £12m to buy him. That would just about buy his right leg – and the boy is left-footed!
"Andy wants to do well, keep on improving, and be a top player. He's got all that drive in him and he is already one of the best young players in the country, that's for sure."

He wasnt even getting a regular game for Hull though, I bet they'd take £12million if the likes of Newcastle/Villa/Spurs offered it. Not that we could compete with that though.

He started 17 games, came off the bench 7 times and was an unused sub 7 times this season. Shaw was playing every minute of every game when he was like 3 year younger than Robertson is.

He was injured at least once. 24 games is good going considering.

Edit: Also, in his first season in the PL, Shaw played just 1 game more than Robertson did this year.

Used that Shaw argument so many times to people down here, nipped any arguments pronto. No comeback lads?

No way is Shaw 27 million pounds better than Robertson, never in a million years..

    1. :Bangura: Fast and technical striker.

    2. :Murphy: Big, solid striker.

    3. :Slane: Promising player, sure Deila could sort him out.

    4. :Ibrahim: Played at some top clubs, most surely be something in him?

    5. :Kamanar: Need a new goalie now when Zaluska is off, solid enough.

I'm struggling to keep up with all the players we're being linked with at the moment, and really don't pay enough attention to world football to comment on anyone. Obviously would love us to sign Denayer though.

Im not gonna name names just positions..

    1. Centre back
    2. Striker (aslong as we get rid of the duds)
    3. Left back

If we can get those 3 then for 4th and 5th pick I would take another centre back and maybe a young holding midfielder.
