You would swear Pirlo never existed. Drop the defense back ask them to play it out if the option is there, if possible pass it to Bitton. Let him tick us along.

Pirlo the regista? Yeah giving it to Bitton is a good idea but this thing that's puzzling me sounds exciting if it is indeed what I think it is. In an unknown amount of time, I expect before the end of the season Ronny will have a good few of the team being able to pass the ball like Bitton because everyone is learning how to pass at a technically high level. If Ronny pulls that off it would be amazing, we'd be some team.

It would be amazing if the team did gradually evolve into Barca like proportions this season after having time to bond. Barca might be taking it far but a good passing team would be a start and should see us win our qualifiers.

And how long before other teams see our way out from the back is bitton 90% of the time.

If the defence can't pass a * ball i don't want them playing in our team.

1-3 million for defenders and they can't kick a ball....shocking.

Turned his * back on the ball.

Defenders should be risking broken noses to get there head in front of the ball.

It's just unforgivable what he done.

Spineless and it sums up the whole team just now.

You're totally correct center backs have to be able to pass the ball and look up if there is no options showing. Under this system this is a sort of default position where we are asking our central defenders to be deep playmakers when it doesn't suit their game. Surely we should adapt to get the best out of what we have and not shoehorning players into roles they are not suited for?

If i am honest i have spent so many years watching us getting knocked out round 1 in europe (pre 2001 years) im willing to wait a while longer and see if we can get this new system and new ideas right.
If come jan the defence still leaks like a rangers bank account then i will agree its time to pull the plug.

Yes i know my patience might be a flaw.:fear:

Fair enough but I dont see what the end game is. I honestly dont. Is it possession football? Playing youth players? Not spending money? I dont understand how any of that is better than accessing the CL money. I honestly dont. I want our club to grow and the best way to do this is by getting this cash.

    This.

    Yes, this :50:

Just look at the size and stature of Boyata, yet you would swear he was like a 9 year old child facing Goliath.

Shambles of him to move out the way of that shot. It's embarrassing. That would've kept it at 0-0 which could've ended up a more positive result for us come full-time.

Could we play Lustig as CB with Jozo, and then Janko as RB, until we sign another defender to get rid ofthis donkey?

A nonsense defender required... Could nicked big Richard dunne, Jonny Evans on loan, James Collins , bring back Wilson from forest. Steady the leaking goals and command the team from corners and sloppy free kicks we often give away.

I'd like Sutton be given a crack of the whip he would get the team in order... We play so high up the pitch all the players have nose bleeds !!

A Croatian centre half with bright yellow boots isn't the answer !!

Any players we could pinch in jan ?

Ron Vlaar is still a free agent, exactly type of CB we need just now.
