a lot of stadiums are old and decrepit, facilities are brutal, not fit for bringing families for example.
running tracks make for poor views in a lot of grounds.
a lot of stadiums have huge fences too which make for poor views.
the leagues corrupt so following a provincial club is tough knowing you'll get shafted by juve, Milan etc every time.
tv money is very unevenly distributed making it uncompetitive
some of the ultras groups have an offputting rep for violence
fans need an id card to go to games now, making it difficult for casual fans to go to games without planning well in advance
games are played at various times of the weekend making travel awkward for fans to travel, italy is a huge country dont forget!
following from that point bear in mind saturday a school day it Italy so the "weekend" is somewhat shorter for kids, and that has implications for parents going, or bringing kids. .
but that all said . . Tv companies mute the microphones at the curvas in Italian grounds to deliberately reduce the noise that comes through the tv. Why, I don't know, but its definitely done. Was covered in a Tim parks book if I recall correctly..
fwiw ticket prices are reasonable across Italy too.

oh right. One O they * eh ?

  7. I was recently at Man City-CSKA, at best it was no better than on par with my last visit to the Emirates which indeed is awful considering 60k crowd.

Best atmosphere I experienced in England in recent years were Stoke-Dinamo Kiev and Millwall-Leeds which were in both cases really good and proper atmospheres.

If the question is who is the worst...try MK Dons, I went there once and despite a lovely stadium was a souless an experience you could imagine.

The truth is Premiership grounds in general are all very poor bar Stoke, Palace and Leicester and poss Swansea, the high ticket prices is a major reason.

I was at Borussia Moenchengladach, Fortuna Dusseldorf and Bayer Leverkusen home games last week and all were far louder than anything you would hear in the Premier League, mind you is well documented already why that is the case

They had 30k against Crewe last year. I can't think of many clubs that could do that or would even turn out for Crewe game.

Was that not the first game back in their own stadium after being forced to play about 40 miles away for the last year though?

Away numbers are low also because of the fan card, Tessera del Tifoso.

There was a game in Italy two years ago I think it was, and there was 1 away fan at the game. I think it was Udinese away at Sampdoria if I remember correctly.

    Kilmarnock fans are pretty poor.

They're like that Orphans gang from The Warriors.

    Proper bottom of the barrel.

  19. They had 28k after returning to the Ricoh for the first game by selling tickets for a fiver, next home game sub 10k, on Saturday it was 8k

For a one club city of over 300k folk I think that's nothing to be proud of.

  20. In most cases just Huns without the train fare.
